Sherlock Leo doesn’t hover, which heightens my estimation of him by quite a bit. He doesn’t even ask any questions – like how I’m a woman or why he had to pick me up or what it is I’ve been up to at his castle with his brother. All he does is let me into the flat and tell me he’ll meet me back in the living room at 4pm to take me to the wedding. But he quickly vanishes again, which doesn’t leave me with very much information either. Like why Koel sent him to get me, instead of doing it himself, or where everybody else is. The flats are quieter than I’ve ever known them. The silence aches through me, sets me on edge.
