Chapter 1

****Nina***

It's early June and Nina is already tired of the month and the year , well that's what happens when your having a shitty life .

So crazy how things don't always go the way you want it. Just like this morning, she just wants to lay in bed all day and do nothing but she always go for her morning run on Saturdays.

As usual, she's having a mental breakdown and already hallucinating and thinking rubbish.

' why is walking our only source of natural locomotion, like the heck can't we fly?'

' how many second will it take to walk to the bathroom and freshen up and why must the bathroom be the only place we can freshen up?'

Nina isn't a morning person naturally but since she got that letter from her Mom, she began to think nonsense almost every morning when she wakes up. She heard an all familiar sound on the lamp stool - her ringtone - already swearing to tell off whoever is calling her this early,with an unhappy face she reached out to get her phone. the caller read 'Evvy😩❤️' , her one and only annoying brother

" You I'll mannered brat!!!, calling me this early morning. what's wrong with you?". her tone was annoying in a playful way.

" Good morning and I love you too"

" Ewwwww, f**k off"

" someone is grumpy this morning, didn't get enough sleep?"

" I didn't, thanks to your mother " she replied sighing

The other line went silent.

" Evans like, this doesn't makes sense. what does mum mean she isn't our mother. what's that supposed to mean?"

" I don't know ,I still can't believe it. She couldn't even man up and tell us and ran away like a teenager. "

" Find Alexander Hudson, how am I supposed to find someone like that. I'm frustrated as it is, work is so stressful and then this!"

" Nina it's been a year, what are we going to do?"

" I don't know, I give up. she said in her letter that she's coming back. Till then"

" I miss her, this is someone we've known since childhood "

" me too Evvy . I miss her"

Evans is a college student , he lives in the school dormitory and is mostly away from home. When he's home he stays with their mother at the family house but since she ran away, he hardly come home .

Nina works as virtual assistant for a Tech company, she lives well enough with her salary. She shares a flat with her best friend June who is a sales manager for a clothing line.

She loves her brother to bits, he's the only family she has now.

" Well,I just to check up on my favourite sister"

" Ha ha, you talk as if you have another sister. By the way ,how is college life treating you?"

" Pretty good , they're pretty girls over here and I'm having fun"

" Evans!!!, you're just 20"

"And so?"

Nina could feel hear her brother rolling his eyes and scoffing.

" You have to concentrate on your studies and...."

" Okay Mom ,I've heard you". he replied as he cut her off. " Bye Nina"

" Bye baby bro".

' Oh s**t, my morning run"

She staggered to the bathroom to freshen up , came back to the room to change into her jogging outfit. She tied her 'wavy Ginger coloured hair' into a bun. She takes her back pack and left her room.

" I guess June is still sleeping, I better not wake her."

She wants to take her mind off things and take a breadth of fresh air.

Lol, who is she kidding. Take her mind off things my ass, her mind didn't clear shit

' What reason does their mother Jorja Warren have to have ran away '

' Is Dad even our real Father'. Of course George Warren is their Father , considering the fact that Nina did a blood transfusion to save him when he had a ghastly motor accident which eventually took his life.

After Lazily running around in the sports center for 2 hours, she decided to call it quits and go home.

Entering her homely apartment - thanks to June- she got welcome by a sweet aroma of something being cooked.

Walking into the kitchen, she saw her ' hot ,pretty and sexy best friend cooking, wearing nothing but Bra and Panties and red socks. Letting her waist length red hair free on her back.

Nina and June are both tall at 5'6 , have an hourglass body shape, June is much curvier . Nina is lean and leggy, she could pass for a model. Both girls are pretty, with a pretty set of brown eyes.

June is the wild bestfriend.Nina is cool and collected.

" Oh my God ,June !! what are you doing?. You know this is so unhealthy. you didn't even cover your hair!!"

" Hi Ginge, how's your morning run?" June asked unfazed on the fact that Nina is throwing a tantrum. She's addicted to calling Nina Ginge because of her hair color.

" June what are you ? A child? If I'm not you best friend, I won't believe you're 26"

" I'm in my house, who cares!" she responds while stirring whatever she's cooking and wiggling her ass.

" I care , it's my house too. Coverup. I don't want to see your ass.

"Why, you afraid you'd turn lesbian for me"

" Ewwwwww, in your dreams. you wish"

Both girls are having a fit of laughter.

" Have a seat Ginge, I'll get your breakfast "

" what did you make?" Nina asks while walking to the sitting room. she makes herself comfortable on the couch and switches the television on.

" Stir fried pasta" June walks to the sitting room . "here you go". She hands Nina her plate of food.

They eat in silence while watching a show on the television. the sound of slurpy sounds can be heard , mouth churning and spoon licking, credit to June .She's a good cook compared to Nina.

"Have you heard from your Mum?"

" Nope ,she ran away as far as her legas could take her" She replied . She felt tears at the back of her eyes.

" Awww, Ginge don't cry" June replies as she sits close to Nina and hugs her. She bring Nina's head to rest on her shoulder as she pats her back.

" I know it's been a year but I still don't understand why she left. I don't know what happened and why she said she's isn't our real mother. Is that even possible "

" She'd come back and we'll find out why she left"

" She better, because I have no plans to look for someone I know nothing about "

" The Alexander?"

" Yes"

"We'll find him and if we don't the universe will bring him to us. "

" I hope so. " she sniffles" Thank you June, you're the best "

" I know right, world's doesn't best friend!!" she shouts raising her hands in the air.

"I mean,Evans is so grown. he's taking this situation better than I am. he's not letting himself get bothered with it"

" Nina , he's in college. Would you prefer he gets bothered with this and lose concentration in school "

Nina gives June a glare and Nina brings her for a hug

" That's not what I meant. You're right though. my mom abandoned us without looking back ."

"Ginge, you think too much" June hugs her tightly.

" June, you're squishing me, release me. your naked"

"oops sorry Ginge. I better go put some clothes on, I don't want to be responsible if fall in love with me"

" Dream on". Nina keps laughing. she loves her Best friend , there's never a dull moment with her.God bless her heart.

" Ginge , Change of plans .I'm gonna take a nap . keep yourself busy by watching your K-dramas "

" Me too. I need to freshen up . If you wake up before me,make sure to wake me up."

"Alright"

Nina enters her room and shuts the door . she undresses and walks to the bathroom to take a leisure bath, taking a bath is the only time Nina enjoys during the day. she's a bathroom singer, singing As it was by Harry styles as the water washes away her anxiety and nervousness.

Nina knows everything will be fine , she can fee li but she can't help but be disturbed.

****Alexander****

Mondays are hectic, he loathes Mondays. he has already attended two meetings, Had lunch with a potential shareholder in his company. He's currently walking to his office with his secretary in tow.

" Have the Harveys takeover been finalized"

" Yes sir, their Company's lawyer already sent in the contract , Your lawyer has reviewed it . it only needs your signature " His secretary Micheal as he opens his boss office.

Alexander strides inside his office, removes his jacket and hangs it , loosens his tie and sits down in his very soft office chair.

" Let me have the contract" His secretary hands a a paper inside a file to him at which he takes a slim gold pen on his desk and scribbled his signature. He hands the file back to his secretary.

"Do I have any other schedule for today?"

" No sir. you're cleared for today."

"Check my schedule for this week and squeeze in time , I'd like visit the Harvey Tech company. Tell that to the recipient of the contract , they should be aware that I'll be visiting this week"

"Alright sir" You can leave Alexander tells him.

His secretary Micheal leaves the office . Alexander's phone beep , he picks it up from the table where it lay and he looked at the screen.

Unknown number: Hi Alex, This is Debby. Surprise!. I just wanted to let you know I'm the city and I'd like us to meet. You can text me when you're free. thanks.

Debby?.

Alexander has been in love with Debby ,more l ike he's in infatuated with her for so long They both come from wealthy family. She was aware aware that Alexander liked her , Heck! he even planned to marry her. she's the only person he's known for long, long enough to settle down with her.In return,Debby told him he was confused when Alex confessed he liked her.

To his surprise, he didn't feel heartbroken. maybe he didn't like her enough to be heartbroken by her rejecting.

Why is she back to California?

She's been in New York since she rejected Alexander.Anyways it wouldn't be a bad thing to meet up with her.

He texts her back to her let her know he'd see her on Saturday.

He checks the time and it says 4:45

He stands up and grabs his jacket , take shis phone and leaves his office.

" Micheal,I'm going home early"

" Alright sir have a nice evening"

He walks to the parking lot ,entershis car and drives off to his destination.

It's a 25 min ride to his destination, a place he visits frequently.A private Nursing home.

Walking into the building and to the direction of the room he's going into, he stops at the door and sighs before opening the door .

The room felt cold , that's not usual. the sound of beep from the heart monitor and the swish sounds of tubes intertwining and entering the body.

He sits down on the plastic chair very close to the bed and looks down at the patient lying down on the best with an oxygen mask on her face.

" Hi ,nice to see you again Jorja"
