The Prophecy

Looking back down at the scroll, I snap it shut and close my eyes. I'm trembling, and I can feel tears welling in my eyes. I hear Billie and Jill move closer to me and they each wrap an arm around my shoulders. Taking a deep breath, I steel my resolve and open my eyes. I look at both of these wonderful women and open the scroll once more. They both gasp, the first thing on the page is a beautiful hand-painted image of a white wolf. Realizing neither of them have seen Iris before, I hand Jill the prophecy and stand. I don't bother taking my clothes off, but I do take a few steps back so that I don't hurt either of them. Swiftly, I shift into Iris' true form. I look down at my two friends, and they're both frozen in their spots. Iris lies on her belly and chuffs, urging them to come closer
