"Gabby, what are you doing here, how did you know we were here" I asked
"I suspected something was going on between you two and I saw the note in the trash can and decided to follow you here after you left"
"But you left earlier ..
" I just waited in a corner outside so you would leave first but what the hell am I hearing about murder and Mr Maxwell"
" Gabby!! duck" Sam screamed then next thing we heard was a gunshot but I was right on time to push Gabby aside.
Everyone in the cafe kept running Helter skelter, we dragged Gabby along and ran as fast as our legs could carry us
" Wait... Are we in danger"
Gabby asked with fear in her eyes, I couldn't talk I felt so guilty that she had to find out like this and that I'm dragging her into my mess, it was never meant to be this way.
"You guys should answer me" Gabby screamed as we kept running then next thing was another gunshot but this time around it hit someone
"Sam!!" We screamed as we turned around and saw Sam has been shot in the leg, we ran back to help him up, while the men kept closing in on us
"Sam please stand up" Gabby cried
"Claire, take Gabby and run, I'll buy you guys some time"
"Nooo!!!" Gabby kept screaming
" I love you Gabby and I'll come back to you I promise"
" Noo!!" Gabby cried hugging Sam tight and gave him a kiss
I noticed the men were coming closer and needed to act fast
I slid my pocket knife into sam's pocket without his notice, I knew he was going to need it later
"I swear I'll come back for you, just hold on till then" I whispered and he nodded
I grabbed Gabby's hand and continued our run.
