We got out of the house after hearing gunshots but found the house unusually calm
"Where did the gunshots come from since no one is here" Gabby asked
"I don't know but don't let your guard down" I said looking around gripping my gun tightly
"There's something on the floor" Gabby said
I moved closer and saw a grenade on the floor and I felt alerted immediately
"Step back Gabby, it's a grenade". I gently raised it up to avoid opening it up and I saw a paper beneath it, I put the grenade into my backpack when I confirmed it safe then opened the letter..
"If you wanna save Sam, you have to be prepared, it won't be easy but you are your father's daughter and I trust you'll make it alive"
I read the letter again and again then Gabby also read it
"Whoever dropped this letter and bomb knows your father pretty well and knows you too"
" I know but who could it be" the question hanged in the air waiting for an answer that no one could provide
We have to move to the old basement
"Where's that" Gabby asked
" It's a place our boss keeps people he wants to torture" I picked up my gun and moved straight to my bike parked outside and was about putting on my helmet when a text came into my phone
"You know what to do, no cops, no friends, just you"
Gabby looked at me
" there's no way I'm letting you save Sam alone Claire". I took a helmet and gave it to Gabby, wore mine and entered the bike
"Hope In, we are doing this together and I have a plan" I said with a smirk and we drove off.
