*Alice POV*
"I just want to go to school, like everybody else does." I said to my mother, for the 3rd time this week. "Like I have said before Alice" my mother, Lily, replied, sighing softly "It's too dangerous." I was annoyed, it was the same answer every time I asked, I hated it, all I wanted to do was feel normal for once. Sometimes I wish I had never met that woman who turned us.
*Past*
"Mama!" I shouted, sprinting towards our house. I could see here appear at the door just as I was running up the path. "What's wrong, little one?" She asked, a worried look in her eye "I found someone, they need help, I think she's hurt." I blurted out, grabbing Mamas hand and dragging her to the woman who I had spotted earlier. I knew she wasn't from here as I hadn't seen her in our little village before, but she looked as if she were on the blink of death.
A few days later Mama and Papa made us stay up really late, until the moon was high in the sky "What are we doing?" I asked my Mama, as she was placing my siblings and I in a circle with her and Papa. She smiled at me "The lady you helped is going to help us" she said, while producing a goblet and placing it in the centre of the circle "it's okay little one, it will all be over soon." I nodded and then watched as she pricked herself with a knife and let a drop of her blood fall into the goblet, before she did the same thing to my Papa, my brother's and then me. 'Now, hop off to bed children, tomorrow we start our new life." Mama told us excitedly, I was confused but did what I was told, but just before I drifted off to sleep I heard the door open and a voice I didn't recognise say "Let us begin"
For 3 days it felt like I was in agony after that night, we all were. Little did we know if was because our DNA was changing, our heart rates were lowering and we were turning into vampires.
*Present*
I wondered down the hallway in our house, sighing as I got to my room and threw open the door and sat down in the chair beside my wall of books. I scanned the room, everything looked just how I had left it, nothing had changed for at least 10 years, maybe more, not the red velvet curtains that hung from the dark oak canopy bed, not the pale grey carpet, not the small table beside me or the many sets of draws and elegant wardrobe that huddled together on the opposite wall. "I just want some thing new, something interesting, change of any kind" I said to myself, banging my fist on the table with a sigh, "littlerly, anything" I whispered before turning in my chair to look at the garden.
*Lily's POV*
I sighed as I watched Alice walking away, before getting up and leaving the dining room to find my husband "Charles" I called out after stopping Infront of his study door and pushing it open "We need to talk" I said while walking over and sitting in the chair opposite him, "She's asking about school, again" I explained, after noticing the worried look he had given me. "My dear" his voice sounded so smoothe, soothing the worry that had crept into my brain, " The school will have finished being constructed by next week, she will be so excited, at least she won't know that we built it because of her" he finished and I gave him a smile, "So we are to just tell her that a new school opened up near by for the non-human?" I asked. Charles nodded "Obviously we will have to get a few students enrolled before she does, and get some teachers in too, but yes, that's pretty much what we tell her" he stated, a wide grin on his face. "I shall let you get back to the plans then" I said, getting up to leave "Thank you for doing this for me, my love" I whispered, before exiting the room.
