Hands were covering my ears while I screamed, unable to bear the gunshots. It went on for minutes and we just laid down, dodging the bullets shot at us. When it was finally quiet, I could only sob, feeling so terrified. "Daddy, I'm scared," I whimpered. "It's alright, baby. I'm right here," he held me tightly against him. We were lying down. "Daddy's here to protect you, okay? I'm right here," he was breathless. His heart was beating fast too. My Tiger Bear got scared too. "Dante!" He called out. "I'm okay!" Dante yelled back. There was a knock on the door and it opened seconds later. "Is everyone okay?" Nathan, my assigned bodyguard, inquired, looking around. He had a gun in his hand.
