"Erika!" I hear my dad shout and his pounding footsteps up the stairs, in seconds he was banging on my bedroom door "we need to talk, it's important!" He shouts continuing to bang on my bedroom door, I take a look to Cody and the picnic.
"Hang on, I'm just getting dressed!" I shout back rising to my feet, I look around the room not knowing if there was anywhere that Cody could hide, but then I take a look to the picnic, there is no way my dad wouldn't notice a cute little picnic on the floor and not question it.
"Okay wait here, I'll see what he wants" I whisper to Cody while dismantling my barricade, I slip passed my chest of drawers leaving me the tiniest gap to slip through my door.
Once I was out, my worried dad stood in the hallway, I close my bedroom door standing in the doorway.
