His chest rumbled as he lowered his head onto mine. Pressing our foreheads together, he ghosted a kiss against my lips. "I could have stayed. Especially as he's back at work tomorrow so I wouldn't even have to see him. I chose to leave. If my choices, if the person I choose to love disgusts him so much, then f**k him. My uncle already knew about me. He's always hated my dad anyway, so he was more than happy to take me in. Makes it easier for work, too. Living on site will save time. He's letting me use his truck, too. Could be worse."
