They moved away from each other instantly at the hard voice of Fiona who stood by the door with arms crossed. Then Mason cleared his throat while Ciara exhaled slowly before stretching her hand towards Fiona for a handshake. "I believe we didn't properly introduce ourselves the first time we met," Ciara said but Fiona just rolled her icy blue eyes. "I'm Ciara by the way." "I don't deal with whores," she replied and didn't miss the vexation in Mason's eyes. "What is she to you, Mason?" "If you stop calling her names, I'll answer you," he said when he noticed Ciara's shoulder had slumped at Fiona's words. Fiona huffed and walked past them and sat on his mahogany desk then crossed her long legs. "I care for an answer, you two. I want to know if I should be bothered about my relationship or not," she stated and raised a brow in expectation. Ciara turned to her and smiled. "You don't have to worry, Fiona. Mason and I just met. We're mere friends getting to know each other. There's nothing you should worry about," Ciara explained, and walked up to Fiona who was looking at her skeptically. "She's right, Fiona. Besides she has a fiancée," Mason added and took his position on his chair, making his blonde haired girlfriend turn to look at him. Fiona scoffed. "There are people who are married to each other and are cheating on each other. What makes you two any different?" Mason hissed. "Did I not tell you not to question my fidelity? I would never look at another woman as I look at you." Ciara immediately felt bad at some point when he said it. But she recovered within seconds and placed a hand on Fiona's shoulder. "I'll leave you two now. But we could be friends, Fiona," Ciara said and Fiona swatted her hand away. "I decide who becomes my friend. And yes, you should leave. You have no business here," Fiona stated heatedly and stood up. "Just try to stay away from my-" "Mason?" Harry called as he opened the door. "Oh, hello? Ciara you look hot!" Harry beamed and quickly, took a picture of Ciara who just rolled her eyes. Harry glanced over at Fiona, he kissed his teeth. "Hello, Devil," He said to Fiona who showed him her two middle fingers. "Classic. Hey, boss. There's going to be Valentine's day celebration hosted by Jack Deon." Mason sat straight and grabbed the files Harry was offering him. He read it silently before looking up. "Here? How come?" He asked. Harry adjusted his glasses and shrugged. "I don't know. Since tomorrow is February 14th. He decided to host a celebration for our investors, customers and staffs. To celebrate gratitude and admiration," Harry said. "That's nice," Ciara said with a lopsided smile. "Yeah, who asked for your opinion? It's not like you're invited," Fiona said with an eye roll. Harry blinked. "Actually, there is. You can invite people. It's stated there." Mason looked down at where it was printed. "Yeah, he's right," he said, looking over at Ciara. "Would you like to come tomorrow? I could text you th- Oh, I remember, you don't have your phone and Jerome won't let you be-" "Actually, Jerome and I will be there. I got a new phone. Mine-Uh- Fell, yes. It fell into a water puddle," Ciara replied with an added laughter. Mason furrowed his brows. Why is she lying? "Okay. If you say so," he muttered. Harry and Fiona looked between the duo in confusion. Harry smirked in return and Fiona picked up her purse and left the room. "That was weird," Ciara said. "Is she always like that?" "She's like a horny rabid infected bunny," Harry replied and they laughed. "Anyways. So, you'll be there, Ci?" Harry questioned and she nodded. "The theme is red." "You don't need to tell me, it's pretty obvious," she said and glanced at Mason who diverted his gaze off her instantly. Harry noticed. "Maybe I'll come back later," he said and jogged out of the room. "How are you?" They both asked. "You go first," they asked again then laughed softly. Ciara watched as Mason rose from his seat. She took in his outfit and mentally nodded, it really suited him. He wore a white dress shirt that hugged his muscled arms and silhouetted his chest muscles. His hair was slightly tousled, leaving a few heavy locks over his forehead and eyes plus, the navy blue pants he wore were almost skin tight on him. She blinked and she watched as he stood in front of her and how he gazed softly at her. Nora saying That Mason liking me, Could that be true? "What's this?" She raised a brow at his question, then flinched when he began tracing his fingers on the cheek that hid Jerome's finger lines. She swallowed when he roughly wiped her cheek with the hem of his white shirt. "Mas-" "What did he do to you?" Mason asked, eyes going dark that it fascinated Ciara. Ciara looked down but tipped her head up by her chin. "I asked you a question, Ciara. What did he do to you?" Mason asked through gritted teeth. Ciara glanced from his dark shaded eyes to his pink plump lips. Her breath hitched as she felt his other hand on her lower back. "Did he hurt you because of me?" He whispered and she hesitantly nodded her head. Mason growled and moved away. "Mason, are you you okay?" She asked. Mason felt his heart beat faster by the second. He had the urge to hit something. How dare he touch her?! She's too flawless for even a single nip on her skin! I knew something was wrong somewhere. "Mason, please talk to me," she said and Mason turned around. He gazed at her, taking in her sad green eyes and slightly pouted lips. Then nodded and walked up to her. He touched her wounded cheek, running his finger pads over her soft skin. He licked his lips momentarily. "How long has this been happening?" He asked softly, sliding his thumb from her cheek bone to the side of her mouth. He saw her cheeks redden in a blush. "I-I can't remember. Th-the-" "You can trust me, Ciara. I want you to," he interjected and she moved away completely. "I'll tell you when I want to," she simply said. Mason nodded, although he felt his heart ache. "Sure. Why weren't you at work today? Oh, right. I'm sorry, Ciara. I'm sorry I'm causing you pain in your relationship. Are you sure you can come to the Valentine's day Celebration?" Ciara smiled. "Definitely." He smirked. "Good to know." Ciara nodded and watched him go back to his chair. He motioned for her to sit, which she did. He resumed his work with the documents that Harry had given him and she awkwardly began to scroll through her phone. She logged into i********: and smiled at the number of notifications she had. She tapped the notification button and read them carefully. MasonRiversX5, TheModelsInc and 15 others followed you. She tapped Mason's account and nodded in interest. 300k Followers, she thought as she scrolled through his feeds. He even had the blue tag, she thought with an impressive smile. She saw a pic of him half naked, laying on a recliner. Strong arms, six packs and a wet body, he wore dark shades and a bright smile was on his face. She was in awe to the point that she almost liked the photo but caught herself on time. Phew. She instantly followed him and his phone gave off a beep. She checked if he noticed but he didn't. His full attention was on the papers in front of him. She looked down at her phone and scrolled to her recent post. Jerome_Kingdom, Mason Rivers X5 and 2k others liked your photo. She rolled her eyes and an idea popped into her head. She minimized the app and dialed Jerome's line. He immediately picked. "Who's this?" She giggled. "Ciara? Ciara! How the hell did you get out without my permission?! When did you get a new phone?!" Ciara purposely yawned, even Mason was staring at her like she was crazy. "Well, I just called to check up on my darling fiancée. Just so you know, we have an event to attend tomorrow. It's all about love. Now, if you love me. You'll do it. Kisses," she said and ended the call. Mason raised a brow at her. "If you'll excuse me, Mason. I have an outfit to go buy," Ciara said, getting up. "Uh. Okay, I'll text you the address. Wait, I don't have your new number," he said and Ciara took a pen out of his stationary and wrote down her number on a blank paper beside his hand. "Done," she said and left the office. "She's acting too off," he whispered.
