The gray vest that hung on the King’s shoulders, was a bit transparent, revealing the bulging muscles underneath. Since this was meant to be the parade day, Lucas had expected the king to be in his royal uniform, plus, this informal dressing might send the wrong message to the people. If they see the king dress like this, they might just start asking questions. Lucas rubbed his palms as he walked towards his friend. Not even a palace guard was with him. Like always, he was alone. And the way he smiled at the artifice, it was as if he was enjoying the solitude. “You are late,” The king said “Are you being serious right now?” Lucas’s eyes widen. “Yes,” The King turned his attention away from the paintings. The crease that lined his forehead told Lucas how serious the man was at the moment
