Beauty was on the verge of tears when she saw what was inside her lunchbox – a frog. It was their lunch break, so she went to the canteen with her two friends, Marie and Grace. Other students laughed and gave disgusted looks at Beauty. Meanwhile, Gio was laughing hysterically with his friends Jack and Elthon. Beauty knew that Gio was the one behind it because he was the notorious bully in their school. Beauty, her eyes welling up with tears, approached Gio with a mix of anger and hurt. "Why would you do something so mean, Gio? What did I ever do to you?" she asked, her voice trembling. Gio smirked and shrugged, feigning innocence. "Oh, come on, Beauty. It was just a harmless prank. Can't you take a joke?" he replied, his tone mocking. "No, Gio, it's not a joke. It's bullying, plain and simple. You need to stop this," Beauty said firmly, her voice filled with determination. Gio laughed dismissively. "Oh, look who's suddenly standing up for herself. You think you can take me on? You're just a weak little girl," he taunted. Beauty's anger flared, and she clenched her fists. "I may be small, but I won't let you or anyone else bully me. I won't back down," she declared, her voice filled with defiance. As the confrontation escalated, Marie and Grace stepped in, supporting Beauty. "Leave her alone, Gio. Your bullying won't get you anywhere," Marie said, her voice laced with conviction. Grace added, "We're not afraid of you, Gio. We stand together, and we won't let you intimidate us." Gio's smirk faltered slightly as he realized he was facing a united front. He glanced at his friends, Jack and Elthon, who seemed taken aback by the girls' boldness. With a mix of frustration and embarrassment, Gio muttered, "Fine, have it your way. But this isn't over, Beauty." Beauty held her head high, refusing to let Gio's words affect her. "I'm not afraid of you, Gio. I'll continue to stand up for myself and others. Bullying won't be tolerated." With that, Beauty turned and walked away, her friends by her side. Day passed their rivalry grew stronger, creating a clear divide between them. As Beauty and Gio progressed through elementary school, their clashes became the talk of the school, capturing the attention of their classmates and teachers. Beauty and Gio's rivalry extended beyond pranks and confrontations. It spilled over into their academic performance, creating a fierce competition between them. On their highschool, during a class presentation, Beauty delivered an impressive speech that left the entire class in awe. Her classmates applauded, impressed by her knowledge and eloquence. Gio, feeling the pressure to outshine Beauty, eagerly awaited his turn to present. However, as he stumbled through his speech, forgetting key points and struggling to articulate his thoughts, the class began to exchange amused glances. Beauty, who had been observing from the front row, couldn't help but smirk. She had always prided herself on her dedication to her studies, and seeing Gio falter gave her a sense of satisfaction. As the class ended, Beauty approached Gio with a smug smile. "Looks like I'm not the only one who can excel academically, huh?" she teased. Gio, his face flushed with embarrassment, tried to brush off her comment. "It was just a bad day. I'll bounce back," he retorted defensively. Beauty crossed her arms, a playful glint in her eyes. "Well, I'll be waiting to see if you can catch up. Don't worry, I won't leave you too far behind," she said, her tone dripping with a competitive spirit. Gio, determined not to be outdone, straightened his posture. "We'll see about that, Beauty. This rivalry isn't over yet," he replied, a hint of determination in his voice. Their conversation echoed through the school halls, spreading whispers among their classmates. The rivalry between Beauty and Gio had taken on a new dimension, fueling their drive to outperform each other academically. One day, the school announced a special gathering in the gymnasium. Everyone was excited to know what it was about. The students gathered in the gym, talking and laughing. They learned that there would be an acquaintance party, and each section needed a representative called a muse and an escort. The idea of being chosen as a muse or an escort interested the students. Beauty and Gio became the center of attention, with their classmates teasing them about being a perfect pair. Gio secretly liked the idea because he wanted to spend more time with Beauty and get to know her better. However, Beauty felt annoyed by her classmates' suggestion. She didn't want to be paired with Gio because she thought it would make their rivalry worse. After the meeting, Beauty's friends Marie and Grace approached her with mischievous smiles. "You know, Beauty, being paired with Gio wouldn't be so bad. It could be a chance to show everyone that you two can get along," Marie suggested. Beauty sighed, feeling torn. "I understand what you're saying, but being paired with Gio might make our rivalry even worse. I don't want our rivalry to overshadow the purpose of the acquaintance party," she replied, concerned. Grace chimed in, looking optimistic. "Maybe this is an opportunity for both of you to change how others see your relationship. Show everyone that there's more to it than just rivalry. It could be a chance for you both to grow and understand each other." Deep down, Beauty knew that her friends had a point. Perhaps this acquaintance party could be a turning point for her and Gio, a chance to bridge the gap between them and find common ground. Days turned into weeks as they prepared for the acquaintance party. Beauty and Gio worked together, discussing ideas and coordinating their section's presentation. Slowly, their interactions became less tense and more cooperative. Finally, the day of the acquaintance party arrived. The gymnasium was transformed into a colorful celebration, with each section showcasing their talents. Everyone was excited. Beauty and Gio stood together, representing their section. They felt a sense of togetherness as their classmates cheered for them, recognizing the progress they had made in their relationship. As the acquaintance party reached its peak, Beauty and Gio found themselves dancing together amidst the lively atmosphere. There was a noticeable sense of shyness and hesitation between them, as if the weight of their rivalry still lingered. In a moment of vulnerability, Gio mustered the courage to speak up. "Beauty, can we talk?" he asked, sounding sincere. Surprised by the change in tone, Beauty nodded and followed Gio to a quieter spot. She wondered what he wanted to discuss. With a bit of nervousness, Gio began, "I want to say sorry, Beauty. I want us to stop being rivals and start fresh as friends. I've realized that our constant competition has only caused harm and kept us from truly understanding each other." Beauty's eyes widened in surprise, a mix of disbelief and amusement crossing her face. "Who are you, and what have you done with Gio?" she joked, trying to lighten the mood. Gio laughed, appreciating Beauty's attempt at humor. "No, seriously, Beauty. I've had time to think about my actions since elementary school, and I genuinely want to make things right. I'm sorry for what I did and any pain I may have caused you." Beauty's playful attitude softened as she saw the sincerity in Gio's eyes. She took a moment to process his words before responding, "Gio, I appreciate your apology. And I'm sorry too for anything hurtful I may have said or done. It's time for us to let go of our past rivalry and move forward." With their apologies exchanged, a sense of relief washed over them. They realized that they had both grown since their elementary school days, and it was time to leave behind the animosity that had defined their relationship for so long. As the event came to an end, Beauty and Gio said goodbye to their classmates and teachers, who were left amazed by the unexpected turn of events. The once fierce rivals now walked side by side, laughing at the surprised expressions they encountered.
