Chapter 18 Poisonous Pill

The mystery of the Black Hearts, the pills that under investigation, I fear that they may know the content now,

“The pills” Helene’s blurted out

“What about the pills Lady Helene?” Siana asks

“The content of the pills as we open, it vanishes” Helene reports

“What?” Siana outburst

“The pill when we open it the content it evaporates and gone in thin air. We didn’t even get a sample of it and test it” Helene explains

“But…” Siana is disappointed but can’t utter the right word

“I know Princess Siana, we wanted to investigate thoroughly and knows what is the substance of the Pills it must be the reason Lady Annie changes and becomes violent” Helene persuading Princess Siana to calm down.

“These events we shouldn’t take this for granted, we didn’t know where is Lady Annie, Ruininki roaming around the Kingdom. He can pass through the barrier that Queen Leonor created. How is that possible?” Princess Siana curious

Master Xavion ponder for a while “the barrier that Queen Leonor build is strong, she creates it with all her remaining energy that she risks her life for it. Ruininki can’t pass through that barrier unless…” Master Xavion intentionally cuts his words

“someone as strong as the Gifted helping him” Master Xavion words might mean something

Master Xavion stare at me, directly looking at my eyes.

“The prophecy when a twin chooses as the Gifted, the one harbors the light and the one harbors the dark energy. In the case of Queen, In the time of Queen Leonor's reigns, the Gifted in Atracia City are twins; one harbor the dark and the other one is the light; Kenenkie possesses the light and Ruininki harbors the dark energy. When the light is present, the dark is there, its a way of life. The problem occurs when the dark wants to take over the Light. Greediness can scatter darkness in the heart and soul. The regime of Queen Leonor the twin reveals that the Prophecy is true; Now, in the regime of your mother Queen Rianne, Princesses you may have the same faith”

Siana stands up “What are you saying Master Xavion, that is all myth, there’s no way one of us carry the dark energy. There is no way…”

Siana turns to me shocked, her wide eyes meet mine as I can see my energy is radiating in its darkest blue color,

Master Xavion take a glimpse at Siana while I look at him glaring,

Siana comes to me and hugs me tight “Mia please calm down” she whispers

My fuming darkest energy slowly at ease and I breathe deeply,

Siana speaks “Master Xavion the King and Queen might get worried if we are out of the Palace for too long. Please send them a message we will spend the entire night in your fortress. Mia needs to take her rest.” Siana orders

Siana held my waist as we walk side by side and goes inside a room, it is small with just one bed, a side table and that’s it, the window is big and you can see the scenery outside, the cold air from outside you can feel it as it freely touches our skin.

I’m embracing myself while looking at the vastness, my mind wanders beyond those mountains.

I’m aware Siana knows about the prophecy and her knowing about Ruininki without notifying me, I feel betrayed.

“Mia, none of us is cursed” Siana softly spoken

“Who said that to you; our mother Queen? Did she said to you that none of us is cursed?” I’m curious

“Yes, mother as the former Gifted can see our energy she said that it is not true. Prophecy is not always meant to happen. It doesn’t mean it happen to Queen Leonor's regime it can occur to our mother’s regime too. Trust our mother, we have to believe in her” Siana persuades me

“Even if she is lying, you want me to believe in a lie” I can’t help but outburst

“What are you talking about; mother, she knows us better than anyone else. She says you’re not cursed and I believe her. I’m with you Mia, I will stand by you if anyone in the Place officials and the Elders will try to hurt you. Your my twin I will never let them said who you are and what kind of person are you” Siana speaks with me lovingly.

Siana gives me her warmest embrace, she held me in her arms long enough that I can feel her sincerity and warmth.

“Siana,” I say

“Yes,” she asks

“You know about Ruininki, you didn’t tell me” I questioned her

“I’m sorry Mia, it’s a coincidence, the case of the infected hearts in the Village it reaches our mother. Queen Rianne when she is doing aid and charity for the sick people, one of the sick people who also take the pills that are given by the stranger which I believe is Ruininki. The person who takes the medicine, suddenly shivers and had an attack, what happens to Lady Annie exactly happens to her but as our mother Queen Rianne knows what to do, she can quickly convert the person's dark energy to light. She can let the infected person absorb her energy and comes back to normal. Our mother called Master Arruis and made an investigation and find out that the same cases happen every hour and the Village is not safe for citizens especially those who have a weaker immune system. Those people have weaker defense from negative and dark energy can easily penetrate and consume them.” Siana narrate.

“The poisonous pill that the villager took that day is the cause of suspicion, Queen Rianne can sense energy, she can sense Ruininki. Our mother Queen goes to the border and check the barrier that her great grandmother Queen Leonor has created and still, it is there, it is not destroyed but she can sense strong and vile forces passes through it. it is the moment our mother confirm Ruininki is out and lurking around the Kingdom” Siana continues her narration

I stare at Siana blankly, my mind wonders on its own, my thoughts I can’t contain them, I hold my head.

“What’s the matter, Mia?” Siana asks

“I have a headache maybe because I’m tired. I think we need to rest” I'm avoiding further discussions.

“Okay” Siana agrees

We sleep in the same bed, Siana cuddles me like I’m her teddy bear, she is sleeping soundly by my side while my thoughts still on run. I can’t help but think about Ruininki and Master Xavion’s glare confirms to me that he knows something about me as she can see my energy.

My twin sister and my mother Queen Rianne are both gentle and kind, they have a soft heart and beautiful soul.

They can't afford to hate me and even dare to think that I have the cursed, they refused to accept I’m the bad one; how Siana holds me proves a lot how she means her words to me.

My twin sister as I feel her breath and her heart beating in the quiet silent night, I made my decisions I don’t want my twin sister Siana to be involved in every vile thing I will commit. I don’t want the Elder’s to have a reason to take away her title as the Princess of Querencia and steal away the Royalty that belongs to her.

Ruininki can’t come to this place, this Fortress is protected by Master Xavion energy, only with a person with so strong power than Master Xavion can enter in the Fortress.

I get up slowly, try not to wake Siana, I leave the bed and walk outside as I feel the cold wind, it is dark. My cloak is in our room, I felt the cold sending me shivers through my flesh.

Master Xavion come out of nowhere as he speaks, he seems to reminisce his moment as Ruininki's master.

“Ruininki tries to cleanse his energy through my help but I told him his energy is meant to exist when there is light there is darkness. Ruininki seems to grasp what I say. He is motivated to learn his energy and what he can do to it... He is lost, the overwhelming power he can gather it has eaten him, he asks for more. It becomes his drug to makes light energy of one person turn dark, it is his accomplishment to make one’s heart dark and be on his side. Ruininki believes he can build a World where no Royals, Elder’s, King, and Queen ruling that place. Where everyone can be treated as fairly as what they want. Ruininki is a lost soul, his intentions are good but his ways are not. Ruininki used the power he had; his power and control over mythical creatures, use them against the Royals and fight for his most awaited World to build.” Master Xavion speaks not glancing at me

I didn’t speak, only listen and didn’t give my opinion. I felt I need to prepare myself in the coming storms, none of them are my allied even Ruininki. I don’t know what is going inside his mind and I can’t process all the information they feed me.

Master Xavion asks me to go to my bed so I can rest and advised me not to come out of my room.

I listen to him and walk-in the aisle but before I can reach our room, someone pulls me in my waist. I stare at the person in front of me, I’m in shock, my eyes become wider.

Before I said a word he put his big hands to cover my mouth; he whispers in my ear.

“This will be fast”, he is hugging me.

“I can’t feel a sting in my neck suddenly I can’t move, my whole body frozen, he carries me bridal style as he walks swiftly.

My eyes are open and I can see everything in my surroundings, it is my body that can’t move.

It is a vacant room where there is also a bed, he lay me there and said to me,

“I will get you soon” he is caressing my cheeks, I stare at his handsome face while his face is closer an inch with me.

I don’t understand the reason Ruininki’s is there and my body is weakened and frozen,

I want to speak to him warn him it is not safe here and Arruis is guarding the whole place that he needs to go far away from this place.

But I can’t my mouth it is paralyzed but I can feel his touch

“the only thing you have to do is to trust me” Ruininki whispers again in my ear,

“endure the pain,” Ruiniki command

My eyes are watering from tears, I can’t hold back tears for the reason Ruininki is there in my front of me, touching me.”

“This is all preparation” Ruininki whispers once again.

My tears are wiped by his long fingers and gentle hands that can cover my face.

“pass through that pain” Ruininki soft-spoken

“You are the most beautiful, My Princess; Mia” Ruiniki says despite the physical pain that seems burning inside me.

Ruininki’s face come closer and he gives a chaste kiss on my lips which magically fades the pain away, he quickly distances his face and smirk.

“ I miss you so bad,” he says seems longing, his eyestalks to me and it has a deeper expression I can’t read.

At last, I can move my jaw and my fingers, my eyes color changes as my body recovers and I can move my body.

I didn’t get up quickly, I stare at him also and savor his piercing gaze through me.

“Master Xavion will attack you when he knows you’re here” I warn him

“I know him, he is my Master” Ruininki calmly talking to me.

“There is something that lacking to Master Xavion, his sense gets weaker. His energy that I absorb. I may take that part but I can’t bring it back, his energy. I feel bad for him. Master Arruis can sense me but I can blend with the energy you have so they can’t find out I'm here. I’m aware Arruis is sensing my energy but I can’t let him find me. As much as I want to stay by your side but I have to go.” Ruiniki says after he gave me a quick kiss as the circular energy appears and he is magically off and be gone.

I felt there is a sting in my neck, I touch the side of my neck and there is a lump I can feel, it is deep-rooted planted in my skin, I pull it off and it was a piece of thorns from a flower.
