Leah’s POV

“You know what? Screw you Elijah!! I am leaving already.” I displayed the middle finger.

There should be a means for me to leave here, I just need to discover the exit and boom I will be out of here,

I was still unable to navigate my way out of here, this is really annoying,I must say.

“I was looking for you Miss, let’s go and eat now.” The little girl named Hannah came out from nowhere. She wears this concerned look on her face, yes she didn’t wrong me at all but she is his daughter. Why would I want to eat with her?

“Listen little one, thank you for being kind but I really need to get out of here now, can you be kind again to show me my way out, I will appreciate it.” I blinked twice at her.

“But you can’t leave yet, mum said you need to get better.” I hate the fact she is being so stubborn. She is no different from Elijah. What the hell!! I just need to calm down and act nicely again.

“Little one, I need to go home like right now, someone is worried about me out there.” That’s right, Asher will be out there looking for me and he will definitely be worried. I was out for days. I really need to leave here at once,whatever Elijah is plotting,I won’t fall for it at all.

“But mom said you need to remain here for a few more days to study your health.”

“I don’t need to be watched,I’m an adult and I don’t need any help from your dad.” I just let out the words without thinking but I had no idea it would have an effect on her. Her countenance changed into sadness and her eyes red as she reacted in tears, “Mrs you are so mean!!!”

Is she insane? How on earth am I mean? Her father forcefully brought me here against my will and now she claims I am mean? How annoying of her. Truly kids these days are something else entirely.

“You are venting your anger on the kid Leah, she is not Elijah.” Cindy supported her.

“Oh I am not Cindy,she just called me mean.”

“Listen little one,I really don’t wish to be here and none of this is your fault,so stop crying, your dad should be blamed because he forced me here.”

“How can my dead dad wake up from the dead and force you here, you are so mean and everything he said about you are all lies, you are not kind at all.” She walks away still crying. What does she mean by the word dead? Elijah is alive and okay so who is dead?

“She is just a kid you know.” A beautiful lady dressed in a flowing,white toga-style dress,its draped folds and gold accents echoing ancient elegance approached me.

“And who might you be?” I raised my left eyebrow waiting for her response but deep down I know fully well she is Elijah new lover but hold on a second, she is not the lady I saw at the packhouse,don’t tell me he is a womaniser and he got his new lover this place so no one will know about her existence, I am so glad how things ended with us, he is really annoying and he deserve an accolade for being the best man in cheating on ladies and for the fact they are both in same town.

“Oops my bad, well my name is Angela, my lover said a lot about you and I am so glad to meet you though our first meeting you were unconscious.” She paused and gave me her hands, “We can meet properly now.”

“So your lover told you about me right? I can’t believe this at all, you know what Angela, I appreciate the fact you treated me and I will pay you back but right now,I don’t belong here, I really need to go so can you be kind to show me the way out of this place?” I waited for a response but she didn't say a word,instead she just kept looking at me.

“You need to apologise to Hannah, you know?”

“WHAT??”

“You just reminded her about my late lover, also it’s not really fair, despite his death, you never came to pay your last respects to him and he said a lot about you, I guess he was terrible this time around for being worse at judging one character.”

“Okay enough, this is really confusing, what exactly are you talking about? Elijah is alive and you know it,so who is dead?” I raised my hands in confusion.

I just need to calm down so I don’t end up being pissed by her, why is she blaming me? Does she expect me to be nice to her when I am aware she is with my mate? I am Elijah's ex-mate for goodness sake… This shouldn’t be taking place at all,I wonder why she is so cool. She ought to be furious at Elijah right now for bringing me to their home,guess she must be blinded with her love for that jerk. I rolled my eyeballs.

“I am not talking about Elijah but his elder brother Jeremy.”

My legs staggered a bit and tears gathered up in my eyes, “What did you just say?”

“Jeremy, my mate is dead and that little girl is our daughter. I understand if you want to leave, I will go to my daughter now.”She walks away looking so disappointed in me. I fell to the ground still in shock, NO!!!!! Jeremy can’t be dead, there is no way he is dead.

“I can’t wait for you to come to our pack after your graduation so you can meet my mate and my beautiful daughter Hannah.”

“Really? You mean I can come?”

“Yes you can, you are part of us now,my brother loves you like crazy.”

“I can hear you brother.” Elijah added with a smile on his voice as he kissed my cheek. We laughed together and had a good time.

Thinking about the past, he was a sweet soul, this must be a dream,Jeremy is not dead, it’s not possible.. What happened?
