At the start of fifth grade Rebecca came back from her yearly cruise and claimed to be “a new person” again. I never believed her because after a week or two of the school year she would always just go back to bullying me. This year was actually different though, she became one of my friends. We would sing together in class, she came to my birthday party, and we just had a lot of fun. I got all of my friends back and even made a few knew ones. There was this girl, Kate, she never had a sleep over before. So one day I became friends with her and slept over at her house. She was pretty awkward, but I didn’t care. I didn’t want her to feel alone like I did for all of those years. Faith and I never fully became friends again because of everything that happened and I grew to really like Kate. We became inseparable for years, I was either at her house or she was at mine. In sixth grade we got a couple new girls, Macy and Lily.
