{Alora}
Sunlight hit my eyes, making me leave my sleepy slumber. Groaning, I sit up and take in my surroundings. I'm no longer in the car. I am sitting in a rather large room, all greys and blacks, there's a little brown too. The bed I am in is absolutely huge, with thick heavy bedding that all smells like my mate. Where is he?
Standing, I stretch and search my mind for Pru. She still seems angry with me, but curious about our new home.
"Want to explore? Or find Alexander?" I ask her softly, hoping she chooses the first option because i am rather curious myself. I mean for the reputation this pack has....
"I was going to say mate, but I do want to see what's behind this pack's reputation." Pru surprises me with agreement. We are both curious.
With a deep breath, I open the door to the bedroom and step into the hall. i am instantly flooded by busy life filling what seems to be the pack house. Cautiously, I follow a small crowd outside, and instantly get hit by the smell of roses and other flowers as well. As I look around, I see huge oak trees, beautiful flower bushes lining the walk path, and the walk path? It's made up of gorgeous stones, not concrete. i can hear children laughing somewhere.
"Pru, do you see this? Do you hear it?" I ask her as hope bubbles in my chest. I sit on a bench close by and observe my new pack quietly.
"I told you." Pru grunted happily. I knew she was right to be angry with me, but it hurt a little to still hear her anger, even though I have done as she wished.
Sighing, I close my eyes and just listen to the bustling surroundings around me: girls gossiping, teens boasting about who was superior in training today, kids laughter, men chuckling, women talking. This pack did not meet my expectations in the best ways.
Someone clears there throat next to me, breaking me out of my focus.
"Well, good afternoon Mate." I could hear the laughter in his voice as I open my eyes to look over at him."
"Hello." I say with a soft smile. "Is the Alpha too busy to sit?" I say teasingly as I pat the bench beside me. He smiles and sits beside me, his scent filling my senses instantly.
"What brings you out here, Alora?" he asks, looking over at me.
"I wanted to explore. You have a very dangerous reputation, and we all had theories about your pack." I say simply.
"And does it meet your expectations?" he asks. I can hear the seriousness behind his calm tone. This was a very loaded question, and he knew it.
I look him in the eyes, showing him just how serious I am before I answered, "No."
He nods and looks away, spotting the kids I had heard earlier. After a few moments, he nods once and stands, holding his hand out for me to get up as well.
"What do you like to do?" he asks after i stand and we start walking, not letting go of my hand. the sparks make me a little fuzzy and it takes me a moment to answer.
"I train." I say seriously.
"Nothing else? No other hobby?" He looks at me, genuinely confused. I suppose normal girls have tons of things they like.
"I am so serious. My whole life I have dedicated myself to becoming head warrior. I wanted to make my parents proud." I say softly.
As if something clicked, he grinned at me and says "I have an idea" and then basically breaks out in a run, dragging me behind him by the hand. When we finally come to a stop, my hair looks like a monster had awoken, and he is grinning ear to ear, blocking my view. "Are you ready?" he says excitedly.
"Uh, I'm not sure." I tried to look around him, but he wouldn't let me see. Then I heard it. Grunting, thuds of hit being thrown. The training grounds, I immediately grinned, matching him. "The training grounds?! This is what you consider a date, sir?" I look up at him teasingly, still grinning. He nodded and moved so I could see the people training. They were moving so quickly. These people seem like a good match. I won't have to hold back or go easy so i do not hurt them. "Can we join them?" I looked back at him expectantly.
After a moment of thought, he looks back down at me and nods. "Yes, we can." I squeal and hug him excitedly "Thank you, Alex" I whisper in his ear.
I always come prepared to train. Looking down at my loose shirt and black leggings, i grin "I am ready."
He turns to the wolves, who are now watching us, and says, "Good afternoon warriors. This is my Mate, Alora. She was training for head warrior at her previous pack and would like to train with you today, so we are starting from the beginning of today's training." warriors groaned exhaustedly as they for lines and waited for instructions, sweat already profusely dripping down their faces.
I was beyond excited to prove myself, and Pru was bouncing with glee. She couldn't wait for our mate to see all my hard work. We did warm ups and a little light routine, then it got to the good stuff. Sparring. Now our mate wanted us to spare them, but i wanted to win. You can't win against an Alpha because you will look like it's a challenge of authority and I definitely did not need that on my first day.
"Alex, can i spar your best trainee please?" I ask softly, looking up at him from under my eyelashes. He fell for it immediately.
"Are you sure? He has never lost." He looked down at me with a little worry in his eyes. Good.
"Absolutely." I say as surely as possible. With a sigh of hesitation, he agrees and calls forth his best trainee, who has beaten every instructor this group has had. Now sparring works a little differently here. They all form a fight circle while the pairs take turns sparring. a little strange, but at least this way they will all see how amazing I have forced myself to become.
We watch and cheer on some of the younger wolves, who have only just started their training, maybe 15? Some are very good. Some definitely need extra practice. Then Alex is next, he spares his best match, his beta, and they go on for like 45 minutes before his beta had to tap out of a headlock. Alex roars victoriously and pumps his fists in the air. The amount of testosterone filling the air right now is almost nauseating. Alex went, which means he saved me for last...that's never a good sign.
