The pain hit out of nowhere. Georgia gasped, her body curling in on itself as a sharp, unbearable pressure wrapped around her belly. For a second, she thought it was just another cramp, another one of those miserable pains she’d been getting for weeks now. But then it came again, stronger this time, ripping through her like claws dragging down her spine. Her breath hitched. No. No, not today. She wasn’t ready. Her hands trembled as she clutched her belly, her heart hammering so hard it felt like it might burst. The baby, no, the babies, they weren’t supposed to come yet. She still had time. Didn’t she? Anna was outside hanging clothes when Georgia’s legs suddenly buckled beneath her. A strangled cry tore from her throat as she collapsed onto the wooden floor. "Anna!" Her voice was hoarse, desperate. Footsteps pounded against the floorboards. The door slammed open. "Georgia?" Georgia couldn’t answer. Another contraction ripped through her, and this time, her vision blurred with pain. Anna was by her side in an instant, her hands grabbing Georgia’s shoulders. "What’s wrong? What happened?" Georgia gasped, clutching onto Anna’s wrist like a lifeline. "It, it’s happening." Anna froze. For the first time since Georgia had known her, fear flashed in Anna’s eyes. "You mean" "The babies," Georgia choked out, her body curling into itself. "They’re coming." A deep silence filled the cabin. Then Anna sprang into action. "Okay. Okay. We can do this," she muttered, but Georgia could hear the slight shake in her voice. "You need to breathe, G. In and out, just like that." Georgia barely heard her. Her mind was spinning. This couldn’t be happening. She wasn’t ready. She had no pack, no healer. What if something went wrong? What if she died? Her breath came out in short, sharp gasps. Her wolf thrashed inside her, restless, sensing her fear. "Anna," she whispered, her vision swimming. "I’m scared." Anna grabbed her face, forcing their eyes to meet. "Listen to me. You **will** survive this. Do you hear me?" Georgia tried to nod, but another contraction hit, and she screamed. The pain was unbearable. Her body felt like it was being torn apart. Anna rushed to get blankets and water, moving as fast as she could in the tiny cabin. But Georgia barely noticed. Everything was pain. Sweat poured down her face as she gasped for breath. "I….I can’t do this." Anna dropped to her knees beside her. "Yes, you can. You’ve survived worse, Georgia. You survived **him.** You survived everything. You will survive this too." Georgia sobbed, clinging to Anna’s words like a drowning person clutching a piece of wood. She had to live. She had to. For them. For her babies. Another contraction slammed into her, and she screamed again. She could feel them coming. Too fast. Too soon. Anna grabbed her hand. "Push, Georgia." Georgia shook her head wildly, panic choking her. "No! I can’t!" "Push, damn it!” Georgia gritted her teeth and bore down, her entire body shattering under the pressure. The pain was indescribable, worse than anything she had ever felt before. It felt like dying. She had survived hell, but this? This felt like the end. Tears blurred her vision as she pushed again, a ragged scream tearing from her throat. "One more, Georgia! One more!" Anna’s voice was urgent, desperate. Georgia sucked in a sharp breath and pushed with everything she had left. And then…. A cry. A tiny, piercing wail filled the room. Georgia’s body sagged, shaking violently. Her mind barely registered the sound of Anna moving, wrapping the tiny baby in a cloth. "It’s a girl," Anna whispered. Her voice broke. Georgia’s heart clenched painfully, but there was no time to process it. The pain slammed into her again. "No, no, it’s not done!" Georgia gasped, realization hitting her. Anna’s eyes widened. "Another one?" Georgia **screamed** as a second wave of agony overtook her. It was happening again. Another baby. She barely had time to breathe before she was pushing again, her entire body trembling from exhaustion. The pressure was unbearable. It felt like her bones were being crushed, her insides being ripped apart. And then….. Another cry. Anna let out a choked laugh, tears running down her face. "It’s a boy." Georgia gasped for air, her body collapsing. But before she could even think about stopping, the pain came back. Anna’s smile vanished. "Wait, Georgia, there’s another one!" Georgia’s body locked up in horror. No. No, it wasn’t possible. But Anna’s panicked face told her it was. Another contraction ripped through her, and Georgia sobbed. She had nothing left. "I can’t," she gasped. "Anna, I can’t!" Anna gripped her hand so hard it felt like her bones might snap. "You have to!" Georgia let out a broken cry, her body trembling violently. And then…. The third cry. Anna let out a shuddering breath, carefully wrapping the last baby in a blanket. Georgia collapsed back against the floor, her entire body shaking. She couldn’t believe it. Three. Three babies. Anna’s voice was thick with emotion. "Georgia… you have triplets." Georgia barely heard her. **Her vision was spinning. Her heart pounded wildly as Anna gently placed the three tiny bundles in her arms. They were so small. So fragile. Her hands shook as she touched their tiny fingers, their soft cheeks. Her babies. Her family. A choked sob burst from her lips. She had been so afraid. So convinced she wouldn’t survive. But she had. And now, they were here. Kelvin. Kiera. Kelsey. Her world. Tears poured down her face as she clutched them close, her heart cracking wide open. She had never thought she would love them. She had never thought she could. But now, holding them against her chest, feeling their tiny warmth, she knew. They were hers. Not his. Hers. And no one, no one, would ever take them from her. She kissed their heads, tears soaking her cheeks. "I will protect you," she whispered fiercely, her voice shaking. "I will love you." "Always." Her body swayed, exhaustion pressing d own like a tidal wave. The edges of her vision darkened. Her grip on the babies loosened. "Georgia?" Anna's voice was sharp, panicked. She tried to answer, tried to hold on. But the world tilted, her strength slipping like sand through her fingers. "Georgia! Stay with me!" Darkness rushed in.
