The Vampire Queen's Pet Chapter 31 Ysabella's Point of view After a fantastic first night at the Crypt, Jax pulls me into his arms as he whispers. “Come on, baby, Let's go home.” He pulls me outside into the waiting jeep before we make our way to Jax’s house, it's only a ten-minute drive from the Crypt, and when we pull up outside, I immediately fall in love with the place. It's beautiful. A quaint little brick house within its own gated grounds after spending forty years locked away in a dark and dreary Palace, this house is perfect. Jax smiles as he turns to look at me as he asks. “So, what do you think of it from the outside?” I sigh as I reply. “It's beautiful, Jax.” He reaches out for my hand. “If you like the outside, just wait until you see the inside.” I take hold of his hand as he leads me to the front door; I let out a gasp as he opens the door. The house is much bigger than it looks from the outside; Jax explains how he renovated it. Extending it yet keeping with its original details and the result is stunning. The front of the house keeps the old-style feel to it, whilst at the rear of the house, the kitchen is built into the new extension with floor to ceiling glass windows that open out onto a vast garden. Downstairs also has a garage with an adjoining gym, and upstairs has three large bedrooms. The master bedroom has a balcony that opens onto the immaculate gardens. I turn to Jax as I say. “I love it.” He pulls me into his arms as he whispers, “I want you to be happy here, Ysabella; If the house doesn't suit you, then we can go and look for a place together?” I lean back into his arms, looking out onto the gardens as I say. “This house is perfect; I love it.” He sighs into my ear as we both look out onto the gardens “I can picture that garden filled with our children one day.” I turn around to kiss his lips as I reply. “I hope so, Jax; I really do.” He pulls me back towards the bed with a cheeky glint in his eyes as he says. “How about we get some practice in right now?” I roll my eyes as if this man needs any practice. We spend the rest of the night making love; in our home, Jax insists that we christen every room in the house, now. Who am I to say no. I mean, would you? Every time we make love, our connection seems to get stronger; the feelings I have when I’m with Jax are just out of this world. After spending a lifetime with a cruel King, I never thought that I would find love, I never thought that being in love would be this intense, but now that I found it, I’m never letting go. I've waited a long time for this happiness. The next few weeks soon pass by; our days are spent at the Crypt alongside Bear and Stan and Dylan, of course, although Jax has insisted that Dylan starts at the local school, and Dylan isn't pleased about it. I drive Dylan to school every morning, and we are slowly fixing our relationship. I think he's starting to trust me now, and I enjoy our time together. Dylan makes out that he's a bit of a loner, but in reality, he's just never had anyone to love or anyone that loved him. He doesn't remember his childhood, has no memory of his parents and after losing my father at such a young age, we kind of connect. I have to laugh, though, because as soon as I pull up outside the Crypt, he abandons me for a pair of boxing gloves; he reminds me so much of Jax. Bear has often said it's like watching Jax in his younger years. It makes me realise just how alike these two are. Jax also has no idea who his parents are, although he was lucky enough to have been brought up by an elderly couple who loved him dearly. It was after they passed away that Jax decided to join the army; he has no other family, and joining the military kept a roof over his head. I guess that's why he found it so hard when he left; he had nowhere else to go. No wonder the Crypt means so much to him. I've also noticed how similar they move when in the ring and how powerful the pair are. Jax, I can understand it this is a man whose been in the army, who travelled the world before ending up at the Crypt where a retired boxer taught him how to fight, but with Dylan, I find it a little strange he's just a child and the power that he has is unbelievable, I know I'm not the only one that's noticed; Bear has also commented on it after Dylan knocked him on his ass, and I've seen Stan raise his eyebrows in disbelief a few times. He's a good kid, though, with a kind heart; as long as he keeps on the right track, he's going to go far, and what better place for that to happen than at the Crypt under the watchful eye of the three most incredible guys I know. As for Bear, he fits right in at the crypt, the guys all love him, and he has a special way with people. For such a big guy, he really does have the biggest heart. And where do I fit in, right alongside the four of them? Ever since Bear passed me the round number sign on my first night at the Crypt, Jax insists every time that he fights. He wants me in the ring with him. He calls me his good luck charm. As for plastic t**s, Stella, I know you're itching to know what happened to her. She got demoted to a barmaid, and Bear also insisted if she wants to keep a job at the Crypt, she needs to dress better. What can I say? She tries…… I still don't trust the woman, and I catch her eyes on me all of the time. Obviously, I trust Jax, and I know he has no intention of ever going there, but I don't trust her. Jax insists she keeps her job, though, and says she had a rough upbringing. He has a big heart, and I love him for it. I just need to keep my wits around me whenever Stella is around. I have no problem with her as long as she causes no problems for me and my man.
