Kendra had swiped left, and next up was him.
His photo was him standing next to his Camaro. She had a soft spot for muscle cars since so many guys had imports. She took a leap and swiped right. They matched immediately.
They chatted back and forth over the dating app before exchanging numbers and moving over to texting. Soon they decided to meet up for a date. Bringing it back to basics they went to a movie. Kendra thought it best to play it safe just in case. She'd never decided to meet up with someone she met online. Despite this, she was excited. She couldn't remember the last time she was so eager for text messages to come through.
Luke was quite tall, even more so considering Kendra was only 5'2". He had to be at least 6'4". He had a warm and sincere smile that reached his eyes, which were an interesting hazel mix. He had short chestnut hair, a somewhat thin yet strong build.
Kendra was smitten with Luke. She hadn't had these butterflies in her stomach for a long time. They hit it off and saw each other several times a week. They had only known each other a month when Kendra's birthday rolled around. She didn't expect anything from someone she had only just met and been dating a few weeks. Not to mention she never got much effort from her ex in the past.
Luke asked if she could get a day off work. Kendra was intrigued and got coverage.
Luke picked her up from her place in his camaro. It was something they had bonded over from the beginning since Kendra herself had a Challenger.
They chatted and listen to music and just enjoyed each other's company during the drive. It was well over an hour when they pulled into a provincial park. The autumn colours spread over the trees and you could see different hills peaking up over the distance. Kendra was in awe.
Luke had remembered her saying she loved when she vacationed to the smoky mountains and would love to return in the fall at some point. He had found somewhere that could emulate that.
They drove around the park, taking some tight twists and turns down a mountain that Luke was clearly enjoying in his Camaro as he drifted around the bend. Then he found a side road, and parked at a little cafe. This small little cafe sat maybe 20 people. He treated her to hot chocolate and a pastry as they sat in a little booth together.
Kendra leaned into Luke and sighed. He instinctively put his arm around her. She hadn't felt this happy in a long time. This man listened. She didn't need expensive gifts, what she needed was effort and someone thoughtful. Luke had accomplished that with this surprise day trip. Something her ex had never come close to in the last five years together.
When they finished up at the cafe, they held hands and wandered through some trails. Luke tugged her hand lightly and pulled her close. He wrapped her in a hug, lifted her chin and told her how amazing she was before going in for a kiss. Kendra couldn't help but smile. They drove back in bliss and went straight to his place.
Kendra couldn't help but compare the two men she'd been with. With Henry, he was shy, subtle and almost too submissive. She was always forced to take control and do all the work when it came to s*x. Luke on the other hand, had no issues with making her feel desired. When he grasped both her wrists with one hand and held them above her head, her breath caught in her throat. This was different and oh so exciting. Luke was precise and deliberate with every touch and movement he made. When tingles shot down her spine causing a moan to escape, he swiftly moved to kiss her and absorb the moan as his. He was the best she had ever had, the orgasm.s he gave her were, would never compare to any in her life.
Over the course of the next few months, they were inseparable.
Luke was studying for finals in university. Kendra stopped one night to drop off a meal and some surprises for him, including a little replica of his car she had found. He seemed most excited about that little thoughtful item over everything. She found herself acting like a giddy teenager with him. She wanted to show how much she cared because of how he made her feel.
A week had passed when Kendra had a bit of a s**t day at work and was texting Luke about it.
She went home after her shift and he told her to dress fancy and he'd pick her up at 6pm. She did what he asked eagerly. He picked her up on time and as the drove she recognized where they were. Soon they were stopped at a red light in front of a fancy restaurant in town. He leaned over and they made out at a red light, suddenly breaking their trance to check if the light had turned green.
That night was the first night Luke stayed the night at Kendra's apartment. Tangled up in sheets mere hours after another wonderful date.
Kendra had found what she was looking for. Luke didn't want to just hear about her interests, he wanted to explore them too. It seemed like he wanted to know everything that made her, her. She mentioned her favourite TV show that was from the 80's that she had some DVD and he insisted on watching it with her. Something her ex never wanted to do.
Kendra had stated how she didn't know how to drive stick, as both of Luke's cars were standard. His muscle car and his winter driver.
He jumped at the chance to teach her. They took the winter driver out to an empty parking lot when he tried to explain it all to her. Luke told her to visualize how the parts move and how the clutch plays a role in it all. When she got something right, her reward were sweet kisses. It was an interesting afternoon. As much as the rewards were amazing, she just couldn't get the hang of it in one day and ranted how automatic was the clear choice. He shook his head but then laughed and wrapped her up in a hug from behind. Luke whispered in her ear that she could have it anyway she wanted, as long as she was happy.
She was his, and he was hers.
It seemed like a no brainer. That Kendra should have ended up with Luke.
