Chapter 12Gabriel found Connelly to be quite charming for all of the first date. Connelly on the second date was surprisingly less charming. Connelly got comfortable faster than Anthony did, apparently, whereas he’d only really wanted to try hard for the first date. But the first date had been wonderful. They’d gone to dinner at a fine restaurant, a black-tie event. Connelly dressed like a true gentleman. The only part of the first date that hadn’t gone so well was Connelly’s slight jab at Gabriel’s scarf. That he was old-fashioned.
