CHAPTER 5
When Marissa pulled into her driveway at home, Jed pulled in behind her. Marissa got out of her car and walked back toward Jed’s truck. He got out and came to meet her. Jed took her hand and pulled her close as soon as he was able. Marissa smiled up into his face. Jed leaned in and gently kissed her.
“About dinner,” said Marissa.
“You are going with me, aren’t you?” asked Jed.
“I would love to go with you, but this is my night to help out at the church. We have bingo for our older members once a week. I always help pass out cards. You could come with me. It won’t last but a couple of hours and we could go out afterwards,” Marissa looked up Jed pleadingly.
Jed smiled. “I guess I’m going to bingo. There is no way I’m saying good night, now.” He pulled her close and kissed her
