Chapter 9

384 Words
I finally left the house after my mum persuaded me to go to school to talk to Jasmine face to face as she knew that Craig might have tampered with my phone so he could be looking at my messages and calls, so I have to be extremely careful with what I send to Jasmine. Sometimes we speak in code on my phone, but other times we can't, so the best way is to talk to her at school where I know that he can't hear us. We tend to try and avoid the twins, Hannah and Ashley, at all costs, but that never really seems to happen much as they are everywhere we turn, so when Jasmine and I see them, we whisper in hushed tones, and this is one of those days. We go to our classroom where the twins can't go, as they are in a different class to us. Thank God! So Jasmine and I can talk more freely there. I told her what had happened and how we need her and her parents now more than ever. We came up with a plan on how to escape him. I will tell my mum after school. I don't like leaving her at home with him all day whilst I am here, but she wants me to go to school so I could still have a normal childhood and get my degree. I want to be a doctor and counsellor when I leave school so that I can help others who have been in a similar situation to my mum and me. She has always taught me to be kind to everyone even if they hurt me, but she has said as well to stick up for myself the best that I can. I have tried with Craig, but I don't feel that confident because if I do, then he will hurt me worse, so I have learned with him to try and remain quiet unless I don't like what he is doing. After me and Jasmine came up with our plan, we said our goodbyes to each other and made our way out of the school, and by the time I got to the gate to walk home, who did we see but the twins? They were waiting for us.
