As Daniella sat in an uncomfortable wooden chair, sobbing her heart out into a hastily retrieved Kleenex, Andrei watched her with an incredulous smile. She dabbed at her tears with the tissue, trying not to make a mess of makeup that had taken all too long to apply.
"Cut me some slack," she said with a hysteric laugh. "It isn't every day your best friend gets married."
"The ceremony hasn't even started yet," he said, placing a kiss just below her ear. "God, you're cute when you're emotional. I love you."
