I knew exactly what was happening the moment Marcus pulled out that phone, and I knew exactly why they were trying to corner Keira like this. She was the rightful heir of Mooncrest Pack, one of the strongest territories in the region, and I was the youngest Alpha King in generations
If this little scheme succeeded and they managed to humiliate Keira publicly and create enough doubt about her past, she would be driven out of polite Pack society and I would bear the ridicule of having chosen someone unsuitable.
