A package arrived on a Wednesday afternoon, delivered directly to the house by a courier who would not say who sent it.
The moment I saw the plain manila envelope with no return address, my stomach dropped because I knew this was not going to be anything good.
Father opened it without hesitation, pulling out documents that made his face go completely still. He spread the papers across his desk slowly and I watched as my entire world started to collapse in front of me.
