Leah's POV
"Enzo..."
I gently nudged his shoulder. Enzo's teeth were clenched tight, showing no sign of him waking.
"Enzo, wake up!" I increased the pressure, trying to pull him from his nightmare.
Suddenly, my wrist was seized. The pain made my face blanch.
Enzo stared at me with a venomous look, his eyes devoid of their usual indifference, filled only with hatred.
"Why are you doing this to me?!"
His voice sounded like it came from hell, each word laced with icy malice.
I placed my other hand gently over his, speaking as softly as I could.
"Enzo, it's me, Leah!"
The hatred in his eyes dissipated, replaced by a flicker of confusion. He quickly came to his senses, releasing my wrist as if he'd been electrocuted.
He sat in silence for a moment, his face pale.
"Did I hurt you?"
