Enzo's head snapped up at the sound of the door, catching Leah mid-turn as she clicked the lock behind her.
"What's with the lockdown?"
She tested the knob twice before spinning on her heel, fixing him with a glare that could melt steel.
"I've told you till I'm blue in the face—check the freaking door before mauling me! But no, Mr. 'It's-no-big-deal' over here. Now Elisa got front-row seats to the show! How am I supposed to look her in the eye tomorrow?"
The way her cheeks flushed pink instantly vaporized his workday exhaustion. In one smooth motion, he hauled her into his lap, teeth grazing the corner of her mouth.
"Relax, baby. Kids need to see healthy relationships—it's Parenting 101. This is how she learns what real love looks like."
