CHAPTER FOUR

The dinner was a lovely one, Olivia had persuaded Winter to stay till the end of the dinner, and Winter couldn't help but oblige. Olivia had noticed the heated glances her brother was giving Winter, at one point he had stared so hard that their mum had noticed too.

Landon had to tap him more than once because he was so focused on winter.

Roman couldn't deny that she was attractive, he had noticed that she didn't really like him and he wanted to change that.

Winter had lots of fun and was able to get to know more about Olivia and Landon as a person and couple, she had decided that she would take note of those things when planning their wedding.

She had noticed Roman's heated gaze on her and she had to avoid eye contact because she felt like her skin was on fire, the tension was so high that she couldn't help but be glad that she wore the dress she wore, she seemed to have a great effect on him.

Facing the family " I had such a great time tonight", said Winter

She stood up with a big smile on her face when she noticed Roman standing up.

Checking his wristwatch, Roman decided to take his leave, although it was an excuse to walk out with Winter, he wanted to have a simple conversation with her and hopefully he could make her smile. "I'll be taking my leave now"

Olivia and her mum exchanged glances while smirking, Roman had noticed but ignored them.

Winter had heard him and couldn't deny that she was nervous, waving bye to Landon and Olivia's family, she made her way to the door. She could hear his footsteps behind her, his eyes roamed her figure, he just noticed her dress had a low back, unknowingly, he groaned, she had heard him but decided to ignore, she just wanted to leave and her nerves were getting the best of her.

Roman noticed that she was ignoring him, he quickened his steps "hi" he whispered, why he was whispering he couldn't say

"Hey" winter replied

Roman was trying hard to think of a conversation, he wasn't a man of many words but at the same time he didn't find it hard to form sentences but she was making him nervous.

"sooo..... Olivia is coming for her uhh.. cloth fitting tomorrow, right?" he asked her, he knew it was scheduled for tomorrow but he just wanted to hear her talk.

Olivia looked up and her breath hitched slightly, he was staring at her intensely waiting for a response, "Yeah... fitting.... that's right" she stuttered a response , she facepalmed mentally, "Why did she have to stutter" she thought. Roman found her stuttering cute and chuckled slightly , she looked up , this was the first time he smiled since she had met him "You have a pretty smile" She facepalmed physically immediately she said that , Roman found her cute.

" so do you have a ride?" asked roman

"Yes" , she replied.

Roman walked her to her car and promised himself to have a conversation with her before she left "Go on a date with me" he said. Winter was surprised, she knew he might be attracted to her but she was not expecting him to ask her out on a date so quickly, she must have left a great impression on him.

She knew she had to reject because she could barely make time for herself, preparing to reject him, Roman noticed her facial expression and knew he was about to get rejected.

"You know what, I'll ask when we meet next time, just ... don't turn me down", said Roman.

With a smile on her face, "okay" said Winter , she didn't know he could be polite.

She entered her car and got ready to drive out, looking behind her she saw Roman driving out too.

She didn't spend up to ten minutes on the road when her car suddenly broke down "Oh no, don't die on me" she said but the car had reached its limit she was supposed to have it checked at the car store she normally goes to but she kept pushing it back. She quickly came out of the vehicle and checked it but it was all smoky, she moved back to avoid getting hurt when she noticed a car parking behind her, she couldn’t see clearly because of the headlights but with a closer look, she noticed it was Roman's car.

Roman stepped down from the vehicle, he was not really happy that her car broke down this late but he was excited to be able to pick her up in his car.

"Hey, is everything okay?" , he asked

"No it’s not, my car broke down and I want to call someone at the car shop to come fix it so it won't get towed" she replied

"I'll take you" Seeing her facial expression he knew she was about to say no " And you can't say no, it's getting dark, I'll call someone to get it and have it fixed"

Winter knowing she couldn't reject, nodded her head and with a sigh told him" thank you"

Roman entered the car and asked for her address and they started moving.
