“Oh, what is that comment I’m searching for?” Arius grinned, kneeling so closely in front of Lyle that Lyle could taste Arius’s breath. “That’s right…” Arius grabbed Lyle’s shirt, yanking Lyle even closer, and Lyle’s T-shirt gave way on both sides. Arius’s smile became a leer that seemed to dig into Lyle’s guts and grab everything that was vital. “Honey, I’m home!” Another blur whizzed past Lyle’s head, a huff of shocked wind was blown into his ear, and Rafe was no longer beside him.
