After bidding Aurora farewell, with her looking distraught, I couldn't concentrate. Her sad and distraught look made me want to cancel the trip and go back to her.
But I couldn't...
The elders were currently by my side and Selene was clinging to me like a cloak. I couldn't breathe due to their presence. I had to tone down my aura, so they wouldn't feel restless around me, especially since the time I threatened them.
Soon, Selene and I were about leaving and an elder came forward.
“We will leave everything in your hands, Alpha Kieran. We implore you to make the right decision for our Pack.”
Of course, they all knew how I wanted to break the alliance but the constant reminder that I could put two Packs into an unnecessary feud made me know that I had to tread carefully
