Chapter 3: Family

The triplets sat together on the couch. They began to whisper among themselves when Alpha Black walked into the room.

"Children, this is your uncle Alpha Kali Black..." Marcus explains. Extending his arm towards Kali.

Kali steps forward, about to hug each one when the boy...he must be Ektor, stands up signals his sisters with a stare. I like him already, I think to myself. 

"You must be Ektor, my nephew." I step forward and hug him. He sniffs my scent, as if trying to remember it. "Ii am Ektor uncle, I dreamed you to be tall and dark. And you ARE!" he states, mouth agrape.

I laugh."I sure am tall and dark, and so is my soul kid. Now, which one of you is Anna?" I ask both girls look identical. I sniff them both, awww...scents are different. One smells of apples and cinnamon while the other of sweet pumpkin spice. I could get used to their scents. 

"I am Anna, uncle Black. I will be your favorite niece because I'll remind you of the smell of your mate. My sister Mariah is the better fighter. You will love her fighting skills and admire her the most for this. We are truly excited to meet you." Anna exclaims, smiling brightly.

"Uhhh...my mate? That is impossible. I have no mate young lady. Marcus, are they seers?" I wonder, she seemed so sure of herself.

"Ehh, we are discovering that when they are together they can tap into certain powers. So, yes...maybe they glimpsed into your future Kali." Marcus confirmed my worry. But, this is impossible! Only five years old and they can already tap into certain powers.

"Come Mariah, give uncle a hug. I am happy you will be a strong fighter like your father and me." I say without thinking. Mariah freezes in my embrace. I notice the mention of their father is painful.

"I'm sorry. I'm sure my brother will come around to meeting you three. He has not been well for a long time."  I say.

"Uncle Black, is our father sick?" Mariah asks innocently.
