Chapter 6: The Proposal

656 Words
Alexandra decided to trust Alpha Black, as her father insisted he'd be the one to provide safety from the Lycans. The Lycans had been going to war with the eastern packs for the past a hundred years. The Romanov Witches Coven foretold that one day the Lycans would take down a mighty Alpha King. Alexandra could never had imagined it would be her father, the one to fall to the Lycans. The Lycans have taken away her entire pack and kingdom. "Alexandra, are you the only daughter of Alpha King Alfred?" questioned Marcus. Marcus was also awestruck by her beauty. She resembled a snow queen, glistening under the sun. He was more shocked when he over heard his Alpha claim her as mate. "I am his only daughter, my brother Alexei is older. He joined my father in battle. I do not know if he or my father made it alive. Alexei is two years older, I'm still seventeen. My eighteenth is next month. I haven't shifted, my father warned not to until finding my mate." Alexandra liked Marcus. She had no idea why she felt so comfortable speaking with him.  "Alexandra, how trained are you? As a princess, you must know that being able to defend yourself is important. Alpha Black is strong but if one day you are left to fight alone, you will need to use your own abilities and strengths against the Lycans." Marcus frowned. How could King Alfred deny his daughter shifting? So strange. "I believe this is why my father sent me here. He knew Alpha Black could provide safety and train me. I have a request Beta Marcus." Marcus nodded, expecting her to continue. "Can you find out if anyone in my family is alive?" Alexandra bit her lip, trying to stop it from trembling. It was the only hope she had and what kept her going as she escaped the Lycans. The possibility of anyone in her family or pack being alive.  "You should request this of Alpha Black, only he can approve such a favor. Will you ask him?" Marcus tried to sound stern and to the point. She needs to understand the Alpha is her mate, after all.  "I understand. I'll speak with him tonight after dinner with the triplets."  Alexandra sighed. She was not looking forward to speaking alone with Alpha Black. He was always starring at her as if trying to read her mind. Of course, he couldn't read her mind! They were not bonded. That was another thing, too. Alpha Black insisted that she accept his proposal. To wed as soon as possible to ensure her safety, and become the Luna Princess of Blackblood. She never imagined this would happen so fast. What should she tell him tonight? Tonight is decision day.  Oh, and the triplets! Little Anna was the first to greet her after being found in the woods by Kali. Little Anna had the biggest grin and waved her arms out to her. Alexandra's heart melted, the triplets were special. She sensed it. There was something about them that was also dangerous. Alexandra decided not to linger much on this feeling, because she could see the triplets had pure hearts. Pure hearts meant they were peacekeepers of balance. Like herself, only peacekeepers can recognize other pure hearts. Anna turned out to be the smartest, the boldest, and the most possessive of her siblings. It was her who said one night during dinner, "Why don't you want my Uncle Black, Alexandra? It has been a week since he found you. You are taking too long to decide. My siblings and I want you to be our aunt."  I sigh.  Her father or brother were not with her for advice. One thing she knew, Alpha Black is her mate. His scent overpowers her senses whenever they are close. He smells of sandalwood and fresh morning air. Something in the pit of her stomach aches for his touch.  Could she be the perfect Luna Princess of his pack?
