Mira's POV
Drawing upon the knowledge I had gained from the diary, we began formulating a strategy. I realized that the witches were targeting me not only because of the Coven's death but also because of my possession of his powers.
One evening, as I walked alone through a dimly lit park, a figure emerged from the shadows. I got scared.
" Don't be scared. I mean no harm " She approached me with a smile, radiating an aura of warmth and goodwill. But she was definitely a witch.
" Who are you? "
" I am Selene. I want to be your friend only."
" Why?"
"Mira, I've been following your journey closely," She said, her voice dripping with honeyed words. "You possess incredible power, and we believe you deserve more than what you've been offered so far."
