Before Erin left work, she visited Joseph's hospital room one last time.
Sitting up in bed, Joseph smiled at her. "I've just completed my discharge paperwork. I'll be heading back to Bay City first thing tomorrow. But before I go, there's something I need to tell you."
Erin's expression remained cold. "If you have something to say, just say it. I don't have time to sit around chatting."
Joseph didn't seem offended, though his smile faded slightly. "I never told you this, but... you have a younger half-sister. She's five years younger than you."
Erin's lips curled into a bitter smile. "And?"
She didn't even acknowledge Joseph as her father, so why would she care about some half-sister?
