As the room calmed down, Erin realized that at some point, the storm outside had also stopped.
Brett got up and walked to the window, lighting a cigarette. Kurosaki wandered over to him, and Brett only then noticed the dog had been there the whole time. "You're too quiet," he muttered.
Kurosaki simply wagged his tail silently.
