Chapter 13

After art class, Logan came to my room to walk with me. "Hey, beautiful," he said with a smile. "Hey," I said as I smiled back. "I need to talk to your brother about this." "Why?" "I don't know. He is one of my friends, and you are his sister. I can't mess this up. I really want to date you Mia. I never had to work so hard for a girl." I looked down as my cheeks turned red. "It's supposed to be a compliment. Don't worry." He smiled. "Well, in that case, thanks." I said as I looked up at him. "I'm actually super happy right now. Thank you, Mia." "I'm super happy too," I said as we made it to my next class. "Bye Logan." "Bye Mia" I turned back to my class and found a seat next to Haley. "Hey Mia, what's up?" She said knowing something was up from the look on her face. "Oh my god Haley! Logan told me he liked me!" I whisper yelled. Her eyes widened and her mouth flew open. "This is so amazing Mia! Ohmigod, ohmigod, fill me in on everything!" She squealed as I began to fill her in. "Wow, that's pretty great. But what about Ryan?" "Logan is talking to him this period." "Oh god, I hope it goes well. Then we could go on double dates!" I laughed, "yep. you're right." ~*~*~ Right before we sat down for lunch, Logan pulled me off to the side. "Hey, so here's what went down. Ryan gave me the dreaded talk, and said he'll give you one after school. Good luck with that," he smiled. "And after that?" "We will be all good to go." "Really?" "Yep!" He said and hugged me tightly. We returned to the lunch table. "So, now that we are all here, you guys know we don't have a game tonight because it was yesterday?" Joey began. "Yeah," we all said. "Well, I just so happened to obtain 7 tickets for us to go see the pumas!" We all cheered and clapped. The pumas are our professional football team. "Nice one Joey! When is it?" Ryan asked. "Tonight at 7, so we should all leave at like 6. Oh, and it's an outdoor stadium so bring sweatshirts." "Thank you Joey!" We all sand in unison. "You're welcome," He said smiling. ~*~*~ The day finished quickly, and Ryan and I were home alone. "So Mia," Ryan started. "So Ryan," I returned, knowing what was coming. "You and Logan, huh?" "Yeah." "I'm not going to say you can't be together. That's rude and not me. I just wanted to warn you. Logan doesn't have the best track record with actual girlfriends. He is not used to commitment. I just would never want you to be hurt by one of my friends." Ryan finished. "Thank you, Ryan. I'll watch out," I said and gave him a hug. About 20 minutes later, Logan came over. "Hey guys," he greeted. "Hey, Logan," we replied "Mia? Come with me?" Logan asked, I gave him a nod and stepped out onto the porch with him. "Mia, I want you to be my girlfriend so bad. But, I know we shouldn't skip steps. Let's take things one step at a time. So, Mia. Will you go out with me?" Logan asked through nervous eyes. "Of course!" I yelled as I ran over to hug him. "Good. I'm so damn glad I got to you first," he mumbled into my hair. "First? You mean before Mason got me?" I asked confused. "Oh, um, yeah. Let's go get ready for the game," he answered, but I felt something was off. ~*~*~ We all arrived at the stadium, Logan intertwined our hands. Everyone in the group oohed and ahhed at us. Haley looked like she was just about to melt. She nearly screamed when she saw us get out of the car together. Logan and I stayed near the back of the group. "So, is this our first date?" I asked looking up at him. "How about it's our first informal first date. The formal first date will be tomorrow, 7 pm." He said as he smiled down at me. "Sounds good to me. What have you got planned?" I asked, curious as to what it could be. "It's a surprise, just wear something like what you are wearing right now." "Ooh, outdoors?" "Maybe, you'll just have to wait and see," he answered as we sat down. "Well, I actually can't wait so," He laughed, "You're gonna have to wait beautiful, I'm sorry." He kissed my forehead, causing me to flush. "Oh my god. Do I have to sit by the couple?" Alex angrily asked from beside me. "I'll switch with you," Leo offered. "Please and thank you, man." "No problem." "Hi Leo," I said as I smiled at him. I could feel Logan tense next to me. He will just have to get over whatever it is. "Hey Mia, how's life treating you?" Leo asked, as his eyes quickly flicked to mine and Logan's hands, then back to my eyes. "Pretty amazing. How about you?" I ask thinking about all the events that happened today. "It's alright, I guess. Nothing amazing nor awful has happened," he answered. "Well, let's hope the pumas win. That'll make your day better, right?" "Right," he said with a sigh. I rested my head on Logan's shoulder and enjoyed the game, with occasional small talk of course.
