"Good morning, Mia," I hear Leo say as I open my eyes. I was confused for a solid 10 seconds until the events of yesterday came back to me. "How'd you sleep?" Leo asks.
"Um, pretty good actually. You?" I say, thinking about how deep of a trance I fell into.
"Good as well," he said as he smiled, "so. . .I'm pretty hungry."
"Same, wanna go down to grab a bite?" I ask, feeling my stomach begin to growl.
"Sure," Leo replies. I get off his chest, and sit at the side of my bed. He gets up and sits next to me.
"I'm gonna go freshen up real quick. You can go downstairs."
"Okay, see you in a few." Leo got up and headed downstairs, while I went into the bathroom. I looked at my reflection and nearly jumped. My hair was a mess, my mascara and eyeliner were smeared down my face and around my eyes.
That's embarrassing.
I wash my face and get rid of all the black smudges. I brush my hair and throw it up into a messy bun. I finish by brushing my teeth. I head back to my room to change into something else, given I am still in last night's clothes.
"Mia," I see Logan sitting on the edge of my bed.
"Oh, hey Logan. What are you doing in here?" I asked, confused as to why he's in my room.
"Sorry. I'm sorry I left you last night. I was just so angry I wasn't in my right mind. I was so mad you went home with Leo, and then I saw you on his lap. It didn't help that you were upset and crying about what Mason did. I'm so sorry Mia. I wanted to be the one to lend you a shoulder to cry on, not Leo." He says apologetically.
"It's fine Logan. It really is. I'm all good now." I say with a smile. Omg. Does he like me? Is he jealous?
"Thank god," he said as he came over to hug me. "You're so short."
"Hey!" I exclaim, pulling out of the hug.
"Don't worry, it makes you 10 times more cute," he says with a wink.
I let out a nervous giggle, unsure of how to respond. "Well, I have to get changed now, so I'll meet you down," I say as I stare into my closet.
"Alright, bye Mia," he says and blows me a kiss.
"Bye," I reply smiling as I shut the door. I feel my heart racing, and butterflies in my stomach. I smile to myself thinking about the interaction with Logan.
I snap out of my thoughts, and get dressed. I put on a pair of sweatpants, a tee, and some fuzzy socks. I head to the kitchen where everyone was waiting.
"Hey guys," I say as I sit down. They all smile and say hey in return. I grab 3 doughnuts, not really caring if I look like a pig.
"So Mia," Ryan started, "I did some stalking and it's true. Mason is coming back." I sighed. Logan came over and rubbed my back for support. "So all 3 of us will keep an eye on you or Mason. Do you want me to tell Joey and Alex?"
Shoot. Joey. Haley. I completely forgot I never told her that he's back. "Sure, go ahead and tell them." I reply.
"Okay cool. So you'll be safe Mia, don't worry." Ryan says in a calming voice.
"Yeah, we got you beautiful." Logan says from above me, "and if there is anything you need, just come and find any of us, but mostly me." Logan whispered the last part.
"Okay, thank you so much. I truly do appreciate it." I said.
"Anytime," they all replied.
After finishing my doughnuts, I went to the living room to try and find my phone. After searching for a good 5 minutes, I realized it must be it Leo's car.
"Hey Leo?" I called into the kitchen.
"Yeah?" He called back.
"Come here please." I shouted.
"What's up?" He asked as he entered the room, with an angry Logan on his tail.
"I think I left my phone in your car last night."
"Oh, okay. Let's go check." I look over to see Logan, sitting down on a chair, he has calmed down. Leo and I walked outside and we head to the car. I look over at him as he unlocks the car.
"Oh my god Leo! Your shirt! I'm so sorry!" There was a load of black smudges all over his shirt.
"Oh this?" He points to the black spots, "it's nothing. It will come off in the wash." He says, flashing me a smile.
"Leo?"
"Yes?"
"Thank you. You didn't care that I looked like a zombie, and you took time out of you night just to make sure I was okay. Thank you so much just for everything last night."
"You're welcome, and it was no biggie. I would do it again in a heartbeat."
"Aww, thanks Leo." I said as my cheeks flushed with red. I looked in the car, and sure enough, my phone was in the cup holder.
"Got it!" I yelled as I stood up.
"Great!" Leo said as I slammed the door shut. He locked it and we headed inside. I turned my phone on and saw a message from an unknown number.
Hey Mia, it's Mason. I've changed. I was drunk that night. I'm starting school Monday, and I hope we can talk. I miss you.
"Ryan?" I said as my voice rose up an octave.
"What?" He said as he ran into the living room. I handed him the phone and Leo and Logan read over his shoulder. "Well s**t, don't talk to him. I know he is lying. Just don't go near him okay?" Ryan said as he hugged me.
I nodded and took my phone back to text Haley.
Haley, I know you are with Joey, but Mason is back.
She didn't text back fast like she usually does. I sighed. As long as she gets it some time today.
About 5 minutes later, Haley bursts though the door along with Joey. She ran over to me, while Joey went over by the guys.
"Oh Mia," she said as she hugged me, "how'd you know?"
"I saw him in his car yesterday coming home, and the he texted me." I showed her the message.
"Why didn't you tell me sooner?" She asks sadly.
"I was basically crying my eyes out ever since I saw him, and I left my phone in the car. But don't worry I got all the tears out. . .I think." I told her.
"Okay, I'll be by your side as much as I can. I'll slap that son of a b***h the moment I see him"
"Thank you Haley." I said smiling.
"No problem."
Soon Alex showed up and everyone knew the plan. I kinda felt like a celebrity with all these 'bodyguards' protecting me.
Since it was Saturday, it was also Haley's date with Joey. She really wanted to cancel and hang with me, but I wouldn't let her. I didn't want my problems getting in the way of her night. All the boys went home while Haley stayed to get ready. Joey said dinner and a movie, so dress is casual. Haley wore a blue sundress and put on minimal (yet effective) make up. She straightened her hair and was finished. Joey arrived at 6. As she left, I could see the sparkle of happiness in both of their eyes. They really are perfect for each other.
15 minutes later, Ryan joined me downstairs. "So mom, dad, and Katie are coming home in like 30 minutes. Do you wanna tell them?"
"Yeah, but I don't want them to freak out." I don't want the police to get involved. That's just way too much drama. And who knows, maybe he did change.
"Okay, don't think too much into this. I got you sis."
"Thanks Ryan."

My parents came home and we told them. They had a better reaction than I thought. Ryan told them his plan, and my parents agreed.
I went to bed early because I knew tomorrow would be a very long day.
