ITS COMING...

Destination

Driving along the highway seemed so boring.. Jake was holding my hand from the back-seat and it felt reassuring, I couldn't help but to think something was coming though, it was worrying me a little bit. I tried to focus on the fact it was Jake's 16th birthday and we were going to have so much fun! "Mike" I said "Yes Carrie" Mike replied. "Is the auxiliary chord in the car?" I asked. Mike slightly looked in my direction and gave a cheeky smile as he pulled a small pink and gold auxiliary cable out of his pocket. "Is this mums chord?" I asked while laughing "It sure is, I knicked it before we left because your baby brother lost the chord for this car." he said while laughing "oh mum is gonna kill you" I said hardly containing my laughter. "Oh well, she couldn't if she tried, she loves this ugly mug" Said Mike as he points to his face while laughing. I plugged my phone into the auxiliary cable and began to play some party music to set the mood for everyone, before we all knew it we were all singing along having a good time and letting out troubles slowly disappear.

We pulled up to a small white house where Mike told us where he was going to get the weed, we sat in the car and waited and spoke quietly amongst ourselves until Mike reappeared and jumped back into the car. "Here you go Carrie" Mike said as he handed me the weed as I immediately stuffed it into my bra to conceal. After a short 10 minute drive we arrive at the beach carpark on the other side of town where our friends Ramie, Emily, Shawn and Tayla were waiting for us. They immediately stand as they seen the Blue Captive enter the car park. "Greetings guys, long time no see" said Chelsea jokingly "Its only been about 2 hours since you seen us last, Chelsea" said Tayla confused. "It was a joke, darling" explained Shawn, "Oh..." Tayla replied.

"Now you kids have fun and be safe, call me or Janice if you guys need anything" Yelled Mike from the car window. "Thank you, we will" everyone yelled back as Mike drove out of the car park and back onto the highway. "How far out of town do you think we are?" asked Ramie "well right now we arnt too far, but for us to get to our camping spot we have to walk through bush and beached for about 7 kilometres" I replied. A slight groan came from Jay "More bloody walking' he groaned, "well there's no other way to get there is there?" said Chelsea in retaliation. "Come on guys let's get walking, we have some ground to cover to get to our special camping spot" I shouted. The walk was quite beautiful if you ask me, I quite enjoyed it a lot, walking through the thick scrub of the bush, seeing all the amazing wildlife like kangaroos, wombats, koalas, even a few emus and more was just magical, and also walking up along the beach, holding hand in hand with Jake, picking up pretty seashells along the way, I'll always have a reminder of such a beautiful day as I plan to place these shells Jake has given me on my bed frame. After a long and tiring walk we were over half way there, we stopped in a small grass field clearing and sat down to mix some alcahol and soft drink and have something small to eat. After about 20 minutes I'd rest I needed to use the bathroom. "Hey guys I'm just going over behind this tree to go to pee, no looking!" I shouted "Don't need to worry about us looking Carrie, it's Jake you have to watch, that man is always on the lookout to see some ass" Lachlan shouted while laughing at Jake's bright red face, I giggled as I walked away behind a massive gum tree where I proceeded to urinate. After I was finished I stood and froze for a second, I felt some kind of Dejavu standing in this spot just now. I looked around and saw a small orange rusty colour poking out of the top of the long grass about one hundred metres behind me, I wanted to leave it alone as I was kind of scared to walk through grass that long not knowing what could be in there waiting for me, but I felt so drawn to this but of what seemed like metal sticking out of the top of the grass. I slowly crept forward and carefully paced myself through tge long thick grass and scrub until I reached what I was being drawn to. It was.... a car?! how on earth did this get here? It was an old commodore of some sort but the car was in terrible condition all I seen was the old Holden badges, as I was walking around the car inspecting it, something caught my eye. The windscreen!! It was fully intact, not a mark on it. There was one small triangular shaped hole on the left side of the windscreen though. I walked over to the hole and inspected it for a while, it looked a he'll of a lot like the piece of glass I had found in my locker earlier today.. I looked through the hole and seen a small metal plate with some kind of engraving on it, it definitely wasn't English that's for sure. I looked up and shook my head then placed my hand on the windscreen to look again, while I was looking at it this time, the words seemed to move on the metal plate, as I watched the symbols slowly formed words I could read and the words started to glow a bright white colour, after staring for a few minutes I could read what it said "Salvation lies within" ... "Salvation lies within" I said aloud to myself confused, I looked back and I was struck by an unknown invisible force and was thrown a few feet back. When my eyes readjusted I stood back up to my feet and tried to reconcile what had just happened, I hesitately walked back over over tge rusted car and looked through tge window again and the metal plate was gone.. "How strange" I said to myself as I walked back to my friends.
