Strange Feeling

"There it is!' I shouted, pointing in the direction of my mothers house. My mothers house was a small-ish 4 bedroom house ontop of a large hill, whilest the location was difficult to live in the house was dreamy, down a steep driveway there was a long wooden front porch surrounded with stone gardens filled with porcelain statues and succulent plants, on the porch there was a outdoor setting including 5 green chairs placed at a large glass top outdoor table. In the middle of the porch was a welcome mat met by a oak wooden door with glass windows next to it. My friends and I reached the house and was greeted by my mother Janice. "Hey baby girl, how was school?" my mum asked. "It was good, just another normal day of highschool" I joked. "Oh Jake! how are you? how's your mother?" My mum asked. "Hello Janice, good to see you! I'm well and my mother is going good thanks for asking" Jake replied. "That's good Jake, also Happy16th Birthday mate!" exclaimed my mother. "Thanks so much Janice, it'll definitely be a birthday to remember" said Jake. "That's good mate, hope you enjoy your night" said my mum. My mother looked at me and gave me a hug. "Whats troubling you Carrie? said my mum. "What do you mean mum? I'm fine" I said. "Baby I am your mother and I know when something is a miss" said my mum. She always knows when something is wrong. My mother Janice is a middle ages spiritual lady so I guess trying to hide the fact I've been seeing things and hearing voices won't get past her so easily. "Something kind of strange happened at the end of class and on the way home but I thought I'm just a little tired" I told my mum. "What happened, Carrie? tell me" my mum said. I led my mum away from my friends who were conversating with Mike my step dad over to the metal chair swing on the other end of the porch. "Well, after I got off the phone to Mike I went to my locker and found a small piece of glass inside my locker, I didn't put it there and neither did Jake" I explained. "Do you have the glass Carrie?" she asked. "Yes I have it right here" I said as I reached into my small black school bag and pulled out my beanie I had placed the glass into. I handed the beanie to my mum and as she pulled it out her eyes widened as she first touched it. "You found this in your locker, correct?" she said. "Yes, I don't know how it got there" I explained. "I'm not too sure what it means but apon touching this piece of glass I felt like there is something coming, something big and I feel like this piece of glass is the first sign to it." My mum explained. "It's funny you say that mum" I said "On the way home I seen an old silver VS commodore and as I seen it I heard a voice telling me it's coming... on repeat" I added. "I'm not too sure what this means Carrie, but all I know is what is about to happen is either going to make us, or break us." she explained with a serious look on her face. "Do you think camping is still a good idea mum?" I asked, "Ofcorse baby go have fun with Jake and your friends, you're only 16 once!" she shouted. "Okay mum I'm just going to go inside and get my things to put them into the car" I said. "Okay Carrie" said my mother as I walked inside. As I walked into the house and proceeded to walk through tge loungeroom downstairs to my room I noticed my mother is burning White Sage. (White sage is a inscent used to clear out spiritual impurities) My mother must have felt something before I came home I thought. As I reached my room I opened my door and my Quartz crystal on the top of my door frame fell off and hit me ontop of my head. I looked at the small crystal with confusion, in the whole 10 years I have lived with my mother, not once has this crystal fallen off my door frame.. I picked the crystal back up and placed it back ontop of my door frame, grabbed my camping gear and left the room, I walked back out to the front porch were Jake and my friends were waiting and placed my things into the large blue 8 seater captiva and went to hug my mother goodbye. "Goodbye guys, have a fun and safe night! we will pick you guys back up on Sunday" she said excitedly to everyone. "Now Carrie" she said to me "Take this power bank and keep your phone charged and contact me if you need anything" she added in a stern voice. "I will mum, thank you and I love you so much, have a good weekend!" I told her as I hugged her. "I love you too baby girl, be safe and always be prepared for anything" she replied. My friends and Jake hopped into the car along side their camping gear and my step dad Mike began to back out the driveway with my mum standing on the porch slowly waving goodbye.
