ITS COMING...

Glass Surprise

It was a late Friday evening, aroung 2:30pm staring out of the classroom window overlooking the school bus yard and highway. While I listen to my english teacher, I also imagine what I'd be doing at this time tomorrow. this weekend was mine and my friends camping trip, we were all around the same age, some being 14, others 15 and my boyfriend and myself being 16. I could already smell the smoke of the campfire and hear the crashing of the waves landing on the sandy beach where we had all planned to go camping. A lot of my friends had lied to thier parents on their plans for th weekend and had made arrangements to have a sleepover with a friend, in all reality we were all going to be drunk and high as kites all weekend. Whilest I was off daydreaming I was quicky brought back down to reality with the loud obnoxious school bell ringing to tell us class was over and it was time to go home. I could hardly cointain my excitement and grabbed my laptop off the school desk, shoved it into my bag and quickly ran out of the room to meet up with my friends and boyfriend to begin preperation for our camping trip. I met with Chelsea in the yard first, later came her boyfriend Jay, then my boyfriend Jake arrived alongside his two bestfriends Aaron and lachlan. I greeted Jake with a big hug as the camping trip was to celebrate his 16th birthday. I opened my arms and squeezed him tight while humming the birthday song tune. "I love you baby" said Jake. "I love you too sweetie, are you ready for the best weekend of your life?!" I said excitedly. "You know it Carrie, I have already organised my uncle to meet us at the beach car park with the alcahol I asked him to get us, have you organised getting the weed off your stepdad yet?" asked Jake. "Yes i asked him this morning and gave him $100 for the Quarter to share and Ill just ring him quickly to see if he's managed to get it yet." I pull out my phone from my pocket and begin to dial in my stepdads phone number. "Hello Carrie, finished school already?" exclaims my stepdad Mike. "Yes just got out of class now and meeting up with my friends, I was just wondering if you were able to get the weed while i was at school?" I asked. "Yes i just have to pick it up on the way into droping all you guys off at the Beach, When will you be here?" he asked. "Im just heading to my locker and going to ring a few of my friends that skipped last period to see where i am meeting them" I replied. "Okay, I will see you soon" he replied as he hung up the phone. After I hung up my phone I decided to ring Ramie to see where we were meeting him, his girlfriend Emily, Shawn and Tayla. "Hello?" said Ramie "hey, where are you guys?" I asked. "we are waiting for you guys near the beach we are camping at" he replied. "Already?" I asked, "yeah we went home last period and got all our camping gear, we also went to the supermarket and got some food, softdrink and some things we can have fun with later" he said. "What do you mean some things we can have fun with later?" i asked puzzled. "yeah some things we can experiment with to have fun while camping, I'll show you when you guys arrive" he said excitedly. "Okay, well we are just heading back to my house to go get to weed and get dropped off out there" I said. "Okay, text me when you are close, we are all ready" he said. "Okay see you soon, bye guys" I said as I hung up my phone before I placed it back into my pocket. I walked back to my small group of friends to tell them what was happening, "so whats going on Carrie? where are the others?" said Chelsea, "did Mike get the weed too?" asked Jay. "Yes he's just got to pick it up on the way out to dropping us off at the beach" I replied. "Okay, so what about Ramie and the others? where are they?" asked Jake. "Theyre already out there waiting for us" I said. "Okay perfect, lets get out there" said Aaron, I nodded my head and agreed. "I'm just going to stop past my locker to place my laptop back in there before we head home, are you comng Jake?" I asked. "Ofcorse hunny, lets go. We will be right back guys" said Jake. We waved goodbye and started to walk to narrow corridor down toward my home room to where my locker was. I arrived at my locker and start to twist the lock to the correct numbers to unlock and open my locker, once my locker was open everything looked like it was when I last opened it. It looked like the usual 16 year old girls locker, piles of bookes stacked up ontop of eachother, pictures of family and my boyfriend and I on the door, lots of stickers and some random junk I keep forgetting to take out because I am always late to class. Everything seemed normal until I reached for my laptop and went to place it on the top shelf of my locker, when I placed it on the top shelf I heard a scraping noise. "what was that?" asked Jake, "I'm not too sure babe" I replied. I pulled my laptop back out and placed my hand on the top shelf of my locker and touched something that felt like... Glass? "Its a piece of glass" I said, I looked at Jake with the thick trianguar piece of glass in my hand "Did you put this here Jake?" I asked. "No" he replied. I think he looked just as puzzled as me. "Someone is probably playing some kind of prank on me and placed it there, but on the otherhand, how? only I know the code to my lock and there is no holes in the door of my locker?" I said bewildered. "Strange" replied Jake. I picked up the piece of glass again and placed it inside my beanie so it wouldnt break more and placed it in my bag, maybe I could figure out where it came from a bit later. I placed my laptop back on the shelf and closed my locker again and re-locked it and started to walk back over to my friends.
