I’ll admit, I was very surprised when Lucas stepped forward and hugged me tightly to his chest. It was the following day and Edric had decided to slightly change one of his rules. He had allowed me to sleep in so we technically spent a little over a day in Learwood castle. Still, we did not stick around for breakfast. It was time to say goodbye.  I hugged him back of course, but I still had not seen it coming in the first place.
