The following day, one major change had been made to the welcoming hall. The room had previously been without any furniture at all, but now in the direct centre of the room was one long table, with eight chairs for eight leaders.  Elara was on one head of the table, I was on the other. The table itself was made of darkwood, the favourite building material of every witch. It conducted magic far more easily than spruce or oak, and it gave them a nice mysterious looking interior.
