No one knows for certain how much impact they have on the lives of other people~Hannah Baker 

''He was someone I could talk to, he knew the real me not the person everyone at school saw me as'' I looked out into the distance ''His name is Theodore Parker, we met at the age of nine when my family moved to Fallen Wood''I can still see the day we met fresh in my mind like it was yesterday.

''I had asked my mother if I could go to the park and I saw him sitting alone on the swings'' Although Stephan was listening to my story, I wasn't  there with him.  I was taken to the day I met that monster.

''Hi I'm Jane'' I extended my hand to the lonely boy on the swing who had his head down and his long dark hair covered his face like a curtain

''I..'m The..Theo''He stuttered and kept his head down. I sat in the swing next to him until I saw a group of boys coming towards us.

''Look what we have here boys, Theodork has a girlfriend'' A bulky boy with sandy blonde hair taunted Theo then pushed him out of his swing. I got out of the swing and kicked the bully in the ''no no area''

He fell to the ground in pain, I grabbed Theo's hand and ran from the park back to my house where they were still unpacking the boxes from the truck.

''We can go to the tree house'' I pulled the quiet boy to the back of the house where tree house was.

''You shouldn't let people push you around you know, that's what my mommy always says'' We sat facing each other but his head was down. ''I don't know how to defend my self'' he whispered under his breath but I heard him.

''Then we can be friends and I promise you I wont let anyone hurt you,  deal'' I said with most childish enthusiasm my nine year old body possessed sadly not knowing I had signed my soul to a monster. 

'We grew up to be really close until will reached high school and some how I was swept into the popularity circle but still kept to my promise''   The waiter cleared our plates but I didn't eat much afraid that I would throw up.

''So how did you reach to this point, didn't he ever c***k and show his true colours?'' Stephan asked. 

I let out a chuckle and leaned closer to him ''He was very good at hiding the demons that tried to claw their way into the light''  

''Wait, if you entered the popularity circle then how come he stayed around you?'' he furrowed his brows in confusion.

''It was that damn promise, I had to stay close to him and keep my boyfriend and his jock friends from tormenting him''

Scott leave him alone please tell your friends to knock it off!'' I pushed into the circle of boys that where repeatedly kicking Theo while he was on the ground.

''Oh babe come on we're just messing with him'' I shot him a glare and picked Theo up ''Come on Theo let's fix you up'' 

I managed to get him to the car but his ankle was sprained badly. ''Why where you near the field you know they hang out in that area?''I sighed and drove out of the school gates. He sat silently blood dripping from is face from hitting his head on the ground.

''You were taking too long to walk into the library  I thought you left me''He looked out the window and sighed.

''I would never leave you, your my best friend, I had a little cheer meeting with the girls and it took a while I should have texted.''

''It's okay, I should have stayed in the library''

We reached my house and my parents car wasn't in the drive way. ''Let me get you a first aid kit''

The house was quiet and cold, I quickly turned on the thermostat to get some warmth around the house. ''Go to the bathroom upstairs, I'll follow with the kit''

When I got to the bathroom, I found him sitting on the edge of the bath tub. His head was down and his shoulders where shaking.

''Theo''I whispered but he didn't answer. I kneeled   in front of him so I could see his face. ''My boyfriend and his friends are jerks and I will make sure they stop tormenting you okay forget about them.''He wiped his eyes and slowly nodded his head. 

After I fixed him up we watched a movie and I woke up and  found him gone''

''He never left you a note or texted'' Stephan and I have been sitting at the diner for an hour now.

''Come to think of it I have never seen his house, until....''Then I remembered what happened and I burst into tears. Stephan gave me a tissue and held on to my hand to comfort me.

''Until what?'' He asked gently.I calmed down and regained composure.

''I have to  continue the story''I let out a deep breath.
