THE LIFE OF MY KID By Emmanuel john( lucky 1718) (C)2021 All right reserved Page 01 David looked at his girlfriend who was counting the money that was on their dilapidated table, a table that had lost its natural color, a boyfriend who lived with her as a wife without any criteria. The woman got the full amount of money, she told David "There are seven hundred and fifty left dear" David's head was burning with thoughts he did not know what to do at that moment to get the money to spend and the money he will spend on the delivery services for his girlfriend. His wife was nine months pregnant, they relied on any day she could give birth. He thought of asking for help from relatives but believed he could not be helped because he was tired of asking for money. He was smelling debt. On the side of his wife known as Winnie there was no way they could use it to get their help, because that side did not at all agree with David to live with their child, so they scolded their son and chased him away telling him not to turn his head back to look at them. David bowed his head like a lawmaker and then lifted it, he already had an answer for what he had to do. He told Winnie "Let me go out and go on the street to make money, money must be found because any day you can get labor pains" It was a good statement in his girlfriend's ears but it still gave her enough suspicion and shock. He had to ask for more clarification "Where are you going to make money?" David failed to respond to his girlfriend, he believed telling her what he was thinking in his mind he should get some strong opposition from Winnie. He swore not to tell you at all. Winnie's question was very significant because David had no job after being fired from his job as a security guard at a Chinese construction company. David turned his head and said to his girlfriend "If you give birth to my son you will call him by my name, if he is a girl you will call him by your name or the name of my late mother. You will choose between those names." David's statement was hard to understand in his girlfriend's head. He asked himself several questions in his mind. Does he want to escape me and leave me alone? He wants to kill himself? What is he thinking in his head? He certainly missed the answers to all the questions. When he raised his head to ask his questions but was unlucky to see David, David had already left the house. Fear gripped Winnie, thoughts doubled in her head. The pain of childbirth took its place. She began to cry bitterly, a cry that managed to reach the ears of David who was outside wearing shoes ready to leave. He hurried back inside and found his girlfriend complaining bitterly. His eyes went wide to see David. He carried his girlfriend in his arms up to the road, luck was on his side because he managed to spot the bajaji and stop it. Quickly in a trembling voice he told the bajaji driver "Take us to Maweni hospital immediately" When the driver saw Winnie's condition and the urgency of the situation, he believed that this was where the money would come from. He spoke "You will give me ten thousand my brother" David didn't have time to talk to the driver, he picked up his girlfriend and then got on. Even though he did not understand what the driver had told him, his mind was racing with the pain he was experiencing. The journey began at a fast pace because David was pressuring the bajaji driver to save his girlfriend's life. Arriving at the hospital, Winnie was picked up by nurses and taken to ward number one, wardspecializing in reproductive issues. David remained with the bajaji holder. He left it in his pocket as someone looking for money but had no money in his pocket. He remembered that even the seven hundred and fifty savings left in the room he had planned, the mind set on fire. He looked at the driver of the bajaji and then asked him How many shillings did you say? " The driver was not at all interested in the question, he believed it would be a nuisance because he witnessed how David struggled to get his pockets to get nothing. He replied angrily "Ten thousand relatives" David was shocked as someone who saw or told something strange or terrifying. He flatly refused, telling the driver that he could not pay her the same amount, which he usually pays two to three thousand. A dispute arose. As the argument continued, one of the nurses who received Winnie arrived at the scene and reassured them with kind words. When they had calmed down he asked David "Of course you were the one who came with that bitter sister in a red dress?" David responded quickly with a tentmaking voice from his interactions with the bajaji driver "Yes my sister, you are not wrong" Now it was the nurse's turn to speak but she hesitated a bit, staring at the frightened David as well as the curiosity of wanting to know what was going on. The nurse spoke up "The woman you brought in has a small delivery method, which is not good for someone who needs to give birth normally. Doctors and nurses are there to try the possibility but anything can happen. If it fails completely she will give birth by surgery. David's mind raced and he became like a dreamer while standing upright, unable to speak or answer anything. In the distance he heard the noise of a bajaji driver, a noise that insisted on paying his ten thousand fare. page 02 David noticed how the water overpowered the flour. He had no answer for the nurse or the bajaji driver. His mind recalled the words of his dear friend, a statement that urged him to be brave enough to succeed in life. Now he saw that it was time to agree with the statement. When the nurse saw David's silence, she ignored him and left. David's dispute with the bajaji driver resumed, this time the driver was very hot. David had to be gentle as a child begging for a fee from a stepparent. He told the bajaji driver "I 'm a fellow man please understand me, I have no money to pay you my brother. I am disturbed here". The statement was like an insult to the driver's ears. The noise doubled. People were packed to see what was going on, and even the guards on duty at the hospital arrived quickly. They tried to listen to them all, mistakes fell on David even though the driver was criticized for the price he mentioned. Some civilians defended David believing he would be disturbed by his wife's condition. The driver became increasingly aggressive in demanding his money. The more noise was the nuisance, David decided to get rid of the annoyance, he was ready to reproduce himself so that the words would end. He told the driver to give him the watch, the belt, and the shoes he was wearing so that he could pay his debt. The driver accepted immediately, believing that the items were worth more than the money he was claiming. But when David did not catch anything, he heard a soft voice say "Do not humiliate your fellow man, let him go away and I will pay him back" David turned back to look at the speaker, he was certainly beautiful. He made eye contact with a child of Arab descent looking at him sympathetically. The girl gave two ten thousand shilling notes, one to the driver of the bajaji and the other to David and then told him "You will make your return fare" David was very grateful to the sister who had been sent by God to save him from the shame of the world. The driver of the bajaji did not have a word to add, did not say goodbye to anyone and did not need to carry David again because they had a bad relationship. After saying goodbye to the Arab girl, David hurried out of the hospital building with his mind thinking of a plan his friend had told him. Although he was offered a fare but decided to go on foot, he believed that by using the money at that time he would not get any more money. Thoughts returned to thinking of his girlfriend who had left him on the ward, and he thought of the costs he had been told "Supposedly surgical costs" Alimini must get into a job he has previously rejected in order to make quick money. As he walked towards his friend, another mind reminded him of the importance of preparing Winnie's food. He changed his mind about going to his friend. He decided to go to the house he had planned and ask a fellow tenant to help him prepare food for his girlfriend to take to the hospital. That's what he did. He gave Edna the ten thousand that had been given to her by the sister of Arab descent. Edna had no hiyana she agreed to prepare Winnie's food, she went to the shop then the market bought Winnie's necessities then went into the kitchen and started cooking. As the cooking process progressed, David felt increasingly late to go to his brave friend. He left quietly without saying goodbye to Edna. When Edna finished preparing the food she did not see David, when she tried to call him it rang right where he was. David deliberately left his phone. She waited impatiently for him, when the hours came for Edna to see the patientshe decided to carry the food himself and head for the hospital. The act was very upsetting to Edna and she was shocked to see David leave without saying goodbye and go unnoticed while he was aware of his wife's condition. Edna arrived at the hospital with her food basket. God is not Athumani, he found Winnie giving birth safely through a normal baby girl. But Edna's act of delivering food in David's absence greatly troubled Winnie, who was holding her beloved baby in her arms. When she asked Edna, she was even more confused and confused. As he continued to fight his surprise he was immediately given a receipt for payment for all the services he had been treated at the hospital there. When he saw that it was a large sum of money, he wondered where David got the money from so quickly. Why was the receipt brought by the nurse? Where is David? Winnie asked the nurse who handed her the receipt "Where is David?" The nurse's response left Winnie open-mouthed, the nurse replied "The person who gave me the receipt identified himself by the same name as Zimwi not David. The nurse's response further disturbed Winnie, who was apparently the youngest child in the family. He felt something was wrong. He thought of David, now he believed he would have gone to do the work he had f*******n him to do. He saw the danger in front of him. page 03 It had been two days since Winnie had been released from the hospital, her daughter named Lucia, the name of her late mother and David was in very good health. All those days he couldn't see David. Fear and uncertainty further confused Winnie's mind, she was so surprised the days went by without seeing her pet who she longed to be with every minute. He asked himself questions and answered them himself. She was shocked by David's failure to go see her son. The days went by as usual, the troubled life was his friend. One evening at 6pm he received a stranger who was completely unfamiliar, the guest was smelling a very expensive perfume, the guest introduced himself as sent by his mother to give him a delivery gift. Winnie was shocked to hear a report from her mother who rejected and rejected her after she decided to live with David. The stranger handed Winnie a small bag, which she assured him had come from her beloved mother. The stranger said goodbye and left without identifying himself. Winnie didn't care, she was delighted with the gift from her mother. After finishing her homework, Winnie opened the bag to look for a gift from her mother. He received a great surprise and his heartbeat doubled, it was not a gift from his mother as he was told but it was a gift from his girlfriend, David. The bag had a picture of David, a small piece of paper and ten thousand notes worth one hundred and seventy thousand Tanzanian shillings. He read that piece of paper with a message on it "I am fighting for you and my son. Take good care of your life, your life is my life" Winnie now realized that the person who gave her the bag would be in the same place as David, and she believed she had decided to give him the money that way because she was afraid of being asked too many questions about her boyfriend. Her heart ached and she blamed herself for not opening her gift in front of her guest. He wished he had not spent the money believing it would be illegal with human blood but he missed the violence, the difficult life situation he was in told him that the money was completely legal. The days went by as usual, days and two weeks passed without seeing David. But the issue of making money in a controversial environment continued as usual. One day he woke up and found a bag of money on his doorstep, some days the little kids on his street sent him an envelope of cash and when he asked them who they had given him they replied they didn't know him at all, they had never seen him on their street. She also continued to receive various messages urging her to take care of herself and the baby. *********** It was a night of words, the stars were adorning the skies in every corner of the globe. The city was quiet as many citizens continued to dream of good luck. David was at work. He was wearing a small bag of one strap, and in the bag was a h****n d**g that he was taking to the shores of Lake Tanganyika, a place popularly known as customs. A special place where fishermen park their vessels. He was assured that when he arrived at the scene he would meet a black boy with four squares, hand him the bag and then leave. That's what it was. He managed to see the four-legged boy and handed him the bag and they said goodbye. A boy with a body of four squareshe turned on his speedboat and the journey to Congo began. David was left wondering "How will he be able to enter with a consignment of drugs in Congo?" Certainly David was not mature in that business. Slowly he turned and began to return when he left. But God was not on his side, and suddenly he was startled by a bright flashlight. She was terrified. Kabda did not take any action and heard a loud scratching voice forcing him to stand up and put his hands up. It was certainly a very quick act that confused him. He remained trembling like a child and could not obey that command because he did not fully understand what he was being told to do. The image of his pregnant girlfriend came to his mind. Her heart ached as she watched him head out into the air. The pit that will separate him and his family. The man who had earlier forced her to raise her voice for the second time "My name is Captain Mussa from the police force, he is in custody for involvement in the d**g trade." At first David was illuminated by one flashlight, but by then he was illuminated by more than seven flashlights something that meant the loudspeaker was not alone. page 04 The light doubled in his eyes, David's eyes could not stand it and he found himself covering his face with his hands to fight the light, but he felt the rays of light continue to penetrate. He wanted to turn around to finish the race but he convinced himself that the act should send him to hell, he believed he should be shot in the back and then death would take his place. The mind refused, he thought it best to go to prison because he would get a chance to see his son with his girlfriend, Winnie. He remained standing upright like a lightning pole with his hands continuing to fight the light that was attacking him mercilessly. More than seven young men with bright torches followed David slowly, surely assuring themselves of their safety. When they reached him they had nothing to ask or talk about. David was hit in the butt with a g*n, he could not bear his pain, the hands on his face fighting the light moved to his head where he was attacked. He screamed that he was going through a lot of pain, a young man with a loud scratch didn't care about David's cries, he shouted "Shut up you i***t, you bring childhood here" Surely the sound penetrated well into David's ears, he found himself silent and unwilling, far away he could be heard weeping and sobbing. David raised his head and looked at the young men with flashlights. forty. He doesn't care about appearance because the police don't have to be in his jerseys, there are some jobs he has to wear civilian. David tried to defend himself but the young men did not have time to listen to him. They handcuffed him and then put on socks over his face, socks that prevented him from seeing anything. Now he could see the darkness in front of him. He was lifted up and began to be led the way, he did not know where they were going because the socks he was wearing gave enough resistance. He regretted his decision to join an illegal group that distributes and sells drugs locally and abroad, and he recalled several times he had been barred by his girlfriend from joining the network. He saw his betrayal, the betrayal that haunted him now. He said to himself in his heart "Forgive me my Winnie, I did not listen to your statement. Let the world teach me" He certainly did not listen to his girlfriend's statement but what would he do when he needed immediate money to help his girlfriend and baby? Their dumb ride ended in the car, David was put in the car and then he heard it leave at a moderate pace. He did not know what kind of car they were in and what kind of police station they were heading in, he knew they were in a car heading towards the police station. He told himself and swore in his heart that he would not name his co-workers, he believed that even if he was beaten he would not open his mouth to name his colleagues. David feared for his family's safety, and he believed that if he mentioned his colleagues, he would endanger his own family. He believed that they must attack and destroy it completely. He did not want to hear the news of the death of his girlfriend or child. He believed he was the one to defend them because they had no help elsewhere. He certainly wanted the mistake he made to judge himself. *********************** The roosters kept crowing, surely they raised their voices exactly the situationshowed they had all the status and criteria to be called seed males. The sound of the rooster crowed twice in David's ears because he did not get enough sleep that day. Not that he lacked a bed, no, he was on a bed with a cleaner room than he had in the closet. Sleep overtook him that day, the space for sleep was filled with many thoughts. All night long he asked himself questions without answers, every question that came to his mind lacked the right answers. The most confusing questions were "Where is this? Why not the police? Or those who arrested me are not the police? Who are they now?" The head burned with thought. He looked at his watch and saw that it was one o'clock at ten o'clock in the morning, and he reached into his pocket to pull out his Samsung branded phone but did not find it. The phone was bought by his d**g-dealing group after he left his phone at home. The act of missing his pocket phone meant it was taken by the hijackers so he could not make contact with anyone. He wondered twice "What time did they take it? Why haven't I slept at all?" He lacked answers to his questions, now he believed he was under the most dangerous people he did not know whether it was the police or laah !. As he continued to fight the thoughts in his head, suddenly the door of the room he was in opened and he entered a middle-aged man, a young man under the age of twenty-seven. The young man was very energetic and smelled good, and on his head he wore short rastas that adorned his head with a beautiful figure. David stared at the young man who was walking slowly like a man forced to go to his place, he made sure he was not one of the few who managed to see their faces the night before he was arrested. An energetic young man approached David and introduced himself, his face radiant with joy and exuberant joy. "My name is Zimwi, almost in this tent" page 05 Not only the name but also the image of Zimwi was strange in David's will, he remained staring at him like someone who needed more information. The ghost sitting on one of the chairs found in the room understood David's situation but did not care, but continued with his explanation. "I was the one who paid for the services your partner received during her hospital stay at her delivery." David got the light of who paid for his girlfriend's services because initially he and his accomplices failed to understand who paid for it. The young man who was distributing the money to Winnie did not find any medical debt on the day he went to pay the debt. They did not understand how Winnie paid, at the end of the day they believed she would be helped by her fellow tenants. Little did they know that behind the scenes there was someone watching David's life. Zimwi continued "Your boyfriend and son are completely safe and don't be afraid but in the near future they could be the worst part ... we have found that you are sending money to him through your bandits, you will surely all fall into our hands." Courage wore David after proving that he is not a policeman but a kidnapper, a courage that needed to know him better "Who exactly are you? Why don't I understand?" The young man, who identified himself as Zimwi and did not show any signs of being surprised by David's questions, certainly expected to be asked those questions from the beginning. He looked David in the face and then answered with a confident voice "Like I told you my name is Zimwi, but that's not my full name. That's the name of my work, work like this going on" Now David believed that he would be in the hands of the enemies of the group he served, he believed so because sometimes the groups involved in the sale and purchase of drugs turned against each other, a situation that created animosity between them. The hostility that leads to a fierce battle to kill them. Surely he found himself in the hands of the real God who was sent to take his soul. The energetic young man with a rasta on his head continued to elaborate "My full name is Alimas Jumbe, I work in a secret unit that deals with controlling the sale and distribution of drugs in the country." The identity meant that David was not in the safe hands even though he was not in the hands of the criminals he had originally considered. He believed that his act of arrest by d**g dealers was not a cure-all. The big difference he saw was that, under those people they would not kill him but would take him to court and then imprisonment would take its course. Zimwi went on to explain "We monitored your movements long after we discovered you had a relationship with d**g dealers, we set our traps. Days, weeks and months passed without you being trapped, we saw you busy with your job of protection in Chinese tenders. The investigation continued quietly until the day we proved ourselves to be among the d**g dealers " Fear rose in David's body, his body trembled violently, he felt like he was in a dream but his brain refused. You assured him that he did not have any dreams. He thought of the words he had been told that he had been on the radar for so long. He remembered his friend who persuaded him to enter the business with the intention of helping him financially, at which point his mind assured him that he would behe was seen accompanying or talking to the person who is a threat to criminal activities within the borders of Tanzania. A person who is sought out night and day to be controlled without success. A picture of her boyfriend in distress came to David and he remembered the statement from Zimwi that he had paid for the services he received at the hospital. A question formed in his head "Why did he pay that debt?" He missed the right answers. Her lips quivered as she mentally formed the words to express her pain. As David continued to struggle with thoughts, he was shocked by Zimwi 's statement, a statement made "Look at the picture of this man and then tell me where he is and the right way to find him?" David received Zimwi's phone call with trembling hands, and looked at the picture on the phone. It was certainly not a strange figure at all, it was a figure he knew well for many years now, it was the image of a friend who persuaded him to join the d**g trade. David raised his head and looked at the careful Zimwi waiting for the answer to his question, David's lips continued to tremble, now trembling more than before. Fear filled his heart and he could not make any decisions and remained staring at Zimwi while his head pondered the answer to give. But before he could answer, he saw someone else enter the room. He stared at her intently to see if she was comparing him or the same person she had seen the other day. His mind convinced him that it was the beautiful girl who had paid the bajaji money he was owed by the rude driver and then gave him another ten thousand shillings for the fare, a girl of Arab descent. When the girl's eyes met David's eyes she let out a bright smile, not that the girl was happy until she let out a smile, no, it was a way to cheat her captives
