I paced back and forth in a quiet corner of the hospital. Waiting on word from the ER while Keren was still inside with the doctors. My phone was already pressed to my ear.
"I want a full background check on Keren Williams. Everything. Her whole history."
"I will start on it right away, sir," the man on the other end answered.
