"Congratulations on your promotion to the CEO position, Nathan. I wish you an unimaginable amount of success in your endeavors. Here is my gift to you. I hope you like it. From Brooke."
I read and re-read the note Brooke wrote as I was driven to the airport. A smile still evident on my face as tears threatened to fall.
"Brooke gave me a gift," I said to myself, still unable to believe it. A large part of me just wanted to ask the driver to change course to the Turner mansion. But my flight would be leaving in less than an hour, so I had to remain on route.
