Night finally arrived for the celebration at Crimson Moon.
The entire training yard had been transformed with enormous torches, long wooden tables, music, and warriors celebrating all around the area.
For the first time in a long while, the pack truly seemed happy.
Meanwhile, inside her room, Amaris was finishing getting ready in front of the mirror.
She wore a beautiful red dress fitted at the waist, with an elegant flowing design fitting for the era.
Her hair was perfectly styled in a delicate updo, with a few loose strands framing her face.
When she finally looked at herself in the mirror, even she stared at her reflection for a few seconds.
“I’m ready. I love how I look,” she said to herself.
Then she left the room.
Minutes later, she appeared at the celebration.
And the moment she did… several conversations faded into whispers.
Many men and women began discreetly staring at her.
“She’s beautiful…”
“Luna Amaris is truly stunning.”
“She’s even more beautiful than the former Luna…”
The murmurs quickly spread among the guests.
Amaris tried to ignore them as she walked through the crowd.
Then Kael appeared in front of her.
His eyes slowly traveled over Amaris’ red dress from head to toe.
And although he tried to keep his cold expression… he was clearly impressed.
“You should have worn something less striking. It wasn’t a good idea to wear that dress.”
Amaris looked at him with a smile.
“Don’t be such a killjoy, Kael. Just enjoy the night.”
Before he could respond, Velkan appeared beside them with a relaxed smile.
“Amaris, you look truly beautiful tonight.”
She smiled naturally. She was ready to enjoy the celebration.
“Thank you, Velkan. You’re very kind.”
Then he looked at his brother with amused boredom.
“Aren’t you going to ask your Luna to dance?”
Kael calmly picked up his drink before replying.
“No.”
Velkan quickly shook his head with a mocking smile.
“Then I suppose I’ll have to do it myself.”
He extended his hand toward Amaris and bowed slightly.
“May I?”
Amaris glanced briefly at Kael before taking Velkan’s hand.
“Of course. I accept this dance.”
Velkan smiled with satisfaction, and the two of them walked toward the center where several couples were dancing.
Music echoed around them as they began moving among the others.
Velkan raised his eyebrows slightly in surprise.
“I never imagined you danced this well.”
Amaris laughed softly as she remembered how her parents had taught her even that.
“My parents taught me when I was little. I still remember it as if it were the first time.”
Velkan smiled as he looked at her, genuinely fascinated.
“Then you’re definitely hiding too many interesting things.”
But at that exact moment, Kael unexpectedly appeared in front of them.
Velkan looked up at his brother and, without saying a single word… slowly released Amaris’ hand.
Then he stepped back, and Kael immediately took her hand.
She smiled, clearly surprised, as they began to dance.
“What made you change your mind?”
Kael held her firmly by the waist as he guided her through the music.
“So I don’t look like a fool in front of everyone.”
Amaris looked around, and in truth, all eyes were on them.
“You’re a handsome fool, and I like you very much.”
Kael looked at her with obvious impatience… but then a small smile appeared on his lips before he could stop it.
Amaris’ eyes instantly lit up.
“Well… you smiled.”
Kael erased the expression immediately.
“I did not smile.”
“Yes, you did.”
“No, I didn’t.”
Amaris stared at him silently for a few seconds before answering.
“It doesn’t matter. I know what I saw.”
Kael shook his head with complete conviction while they continued dancing for a few more moments.
Then he finally spoke.
“We should sit down and have something to drink.”
Amaris agreed.
“All right.”
The two of them walked toward one of the distant tables and sat down.
A servant quickly served them drinks.
But the moment Amaris picked up her glass, Gretel appeared in front of them.
“Good evening.”
Her gaze slowly traveled over Amaris’ red dress.
“You look beautiful tonight.”
Amaris immediately understood that something else was coming after that fake compliment… and she was not wrong.
“I suppose your intention was to get everyone’s attention.”
Gretel smiled as she said those words. Everything she said was pure venom.
“What are you talking about?” Amaris asked.
“I’m saying you wanted attention, and you got it… especially Velkan’s.”
Amaris’ expression changed instantly.
Then she abruptly stood up, and before Gretel could react, Amaris threw her drink directly onto her.
Several people around them stared in complete shock.
Gretel’s eyes widened with fury as the liquid dripped down her clothes.
Amaris looked at her directly before speaking firmly.
“That’s so you understand that I am nothing like you.”
Gretel clenched her fists, consumed with rage.
“You’re going to pay for this.”
Kael quickly stood before the argument could get worse.
“That’s enough. Don’t argue here.”
Then he looked directly at Gretel.
“You should go change.”
She breathed heavily with anger. She had been humiliated in front of so many people.
“You should control your wife. She does whatever she wants in this pack.”
Kael maintained his cold expression.
“Gretel.”
She glared at him angrily for a few more seconds before finally walking away.
When she disappeared into the crowd, Kael looked back at Amaris.
“You shouldn’t have done that.”
Amaris looked at him without the slightest regret.
“I’m tired of her provocations.”
“Let’s just continue enjoying the celebration,” he said.
Then everyone returned to dancing while Amaris tried to calm herself down.
