After dinner, Kael and Amaris returned to the mansion together.
Throughout the entire journey, Kael couldn’t stop smiling every time he thought about the baby on the way.
The moment they walked through the gates of Crimson Moon, he took Amaris’s hand.
“We need to have a huge celebration.”
Amaris looked at him with amusement.
“A celebration for what?”
“For our firstborn, of course.”
She laughed softly.
“Kael, the baby hasn’t even been born yet.”
“That doesn’t matter. Happiness should be celebrated from now on.”
Amaris shook her head, smiling.
“I’d rather we celebrate when the baby is born.”
Kael studied her for a few seconds before nodding.
“Then we’ll do it your way.”
