In less than an hour, they arrived at the great mansion.
“I’ll take my mother to one of the rooms,” Amaris said as soon as they stepped out of the car.
As they entered the room, Sabrina sat down on the bed, watching her daughter carefully.
The room they had prepared for her inside the mansion was enormous and warm, yet the exhaustion from everything that had happened in Silverstream was still visible on her face.
Amaris slowly adjusted the blanket over her mother’s legs.
“You should try to get some rest.”
Sabrina gave her a faint smile as she looked at her.
“First, I want to tell you something.”
Amaris lifted her gaze toward her.
“What is it?”
Sabrina hesitated for a few seconds before speaking.
“Kael seems very interested in you.”
