Lilian’s body was trembling as she pushed the intruder away. Who is he and what do he want from her? Lilian was petrified for a moment. The stranger was looking at her with mixed emotion in his eyes.
Did she do something wrong?
“W-Who are you?” she asked.
She saw how his expression was filled with confusion. Lilian saw him clenching his jaw and glanced at her with those sharp looks. The beating of her heart is behaving uncontrollably due to nervousness.
“I want you...” he swallowed hard before avoiding his gaze from Lilian.
“I want you to be my personal assistant. High salary than this crappy bar, you can have a month vacation leave with pay and your other needs and wants.”
Lilian’s mouth gaped in awe with what she heard. She turned to him quickly, and watched him intently. She examined him if he is joking or not. But his expression just stayed the same. Firm and serious.
But what’s with the barbaric behavior awhile ago?! She asked in her mind.
He seems to be livid when she saw her at the bar awhile ago. But he acts so differently now and even offered her with huge salary! Is he playing games with her?
“Then what about the act awhile ago, Mr.? Don’t tell me that you’re just a bastard who pulled someone over and asked the owner how much a staff of the bar cost? You’re probably not too drunk, are you?” Lilian sarcastically said.
The guy just rubbed his forehead as if the size of the problem facing right now was that big. After awhile, Lilian can sense that the stranger is calming himself down. She find him a bit weirdo.
Her attention diverted to the environment that they are currently right now. She’s doing that to avoid the tension between them. Lilian was playing with the tiny rocks on the road with her shoes.
If his offer is legit, just how much income would she garnered in a month. To add that, a month vacation with salary?! To whom is he kidding right? And by the looks of him, he seems well-off in life but a weird one.
He has this good body built that every woman could drool over. And what caught her attention the most was his eyes. His hazel brown eyes were captivating. Those features were perfectly suited for him. As if he was describe in a movie or in a book.
She cough lightly to have his attention.
“I’m going back inside now, Mr. Thanks for wasting my time.” Lilian said in a calm manner but gritting inside. She fixed her uniform before turning his back from him.
But before she could even do so, a hand caught her wrist to stopped her from walking. This time, she turned to the man irritably. Lilian still has a lot of things to do and here’s this man who is completely wasting her time.
“What?” she asked, being annoyed.
“Will you not accept my offer?” He is like a child who’s hoping for an adult to change their mind. His eyes looked hopeful as if they were somehow begging.
“I don’t even know you nor the job that you have, for me to be your personal assistant. Come here when you’re not sober anymore, Mr. Drunk.” Lilian smirked at her last statement. “You literally destroyed my schedule when I should be working by that time. Bye.”
Lilian waved her hand at the intruder. But the intruder surely wasn’t in a good mood. He was not please and looked pissed.
When she went inside, Lilian saw a bunch of men from a far who’s literally good looking. Is she in a magazine or something?
Her forehead frowned when glanced at them. Did she saw them before? She shooked his head. Nah, maybe it’s just coincidence. She’s working in a bar after all, where some men made the place as a paradise.

HOW COULD LILIAN rejected him like that? He kicked the tires of his car and dialed someone. It didn’t took long before someone answer him.
“What’s up fuc---“ Rafael didn’t let him finished his sentence and just cuts him off.
“Lilian Flare Caddel. Investigate about her. All of her. Check her background for this past years. I want it spotless and polish. Got it?” It was as if he was after some deadlines that needs to be pass.
“Woah! Woah! You’re soon to be wife? I thought we should clearly forgot about her? What happened now, Caddel?” Gideon’s voice irritated him.
“Shut up and do what I said, Gideon. Something’s off about her. I want you to keep it private between the both of us.” He said, commanding Gideon.
“Wait! So the two of you meet? Ows, is your heart okay, buddy? Should I get it check up?” They maybe talking with each other through the line but Rafael could already pictured out Gideon’s teasing face.
He is surely sure that the bastard is now grinning like an i***t.
“Shut the f**k up and start investigating now, Gideon. You won’t like it when I get mad.” Rafael could really strangle Gideon’s neck if he would ask some information furthermore.
“Alright, chill bud. You might get a high blood pressure when you get mad so chill. I’ll investigate it right now. Good luck with your lovey dovey, Rafael.” His eyebrow furrowed because Gideon won’t stop teasing him.
He hang up the phone immediately when Gideon stopped talking. In the group, Gideo is always the one blabbering about over something.
He will not shock anymore when that friend of his would tracked every CCTV that this country has, just to find the footage of him meeting his wife accidentally. Damn that bastard.
After Lilian left, he didn’t entered the bar again. Instead, he straightly head home because his son is surely waiting for him. He was driving when he received a text message from one of the guys.
Hey Rafael, our friend, it’s time actually pay for our bills. Wire your account now so that we can pay *kiss emoji. Btw, I’m so handsome right now, right? Our friends looks like monkey and stink badly! – From your handsome friend, Devon.
Rafael deeply sighed as he sent the amount of money directly to Devon. A moment later, he received a picture of their friends with their drunk faces. Red as tomato, not walking straightly and even singing off-key.
Damn these guys.
As soon as he parked his car, he immediately made his way to the mansion and was welcomed with a quiet environment. Rafael removed his coat and loosens his tie with his one hand while making his way upstairs.
“Where’s Ryker?” he asked with one of the maids.
“In his room, sir. Asleep.”
When Rafael got in front of his son’s door, he slowly twist the door knob and peek inside. He smiled sweetly when he saw his soon sleeping peacefully with a toy next to his side.
Walking slowly, he made sure that he didn’t make a sound so that he wouldn’t wake his son. He sat at the edge of the bed and watched Ryker sleeping. He raised his hand and brushed the strand of his hair.
His son looks so handsome like he is.
Rafael was brushing Ryker’s tiny hair when Ryker suddenly purred like a cat. Oh, he must have woke him up.
The child rubbed his eyes and sat on the bad. “Dada?”
“Hey, kiddo. Sorry if dada disturb your sleep.”
“Dada!” His child rushed to him and embraced him. Ryker even showered him with kissed.
“How’s your day, baby?” Rafael made Ryker sit on his lap and hold him firmly.
“Fine dada, I had fun!” Ryker sqeals before turning to Rafael.
“You dada, how’s your day?” Rafael smiled when he saw those innocent look from his son. It led him to remember something. Those eyes were captivating.
“Fine, baby. Let’s go back to sleep, hmm? Dada wants to sleep already.”
“Okay dada! Let’s go to sleep.” Ryker said joyfully and stood up to let him change. Rafael messed with Ryker’s hair before going to his closet. When he’s done changing, he saw Ryker waiting patiently for him.
His eyes were sleepy but he is trying to be awake to wait for his dad. Rafael immediately joined Ryker to bed and kissed his forehead for a goodnight. Ryker always fulfilled his empty days. Whenever his lonely, angry or even happy,
It was Ryker who can fix him. All of him.
“Goodnight dada. I love you,” his son whispered.
“Goodnight too baby, and I love you.”
